Closing Restaurants Is Unscientific and Dangerous

https://www.aier.org/article/closing-restaurants-is-unscientific-and-dangerous/

The Faulty Science Behind Restaurant Closures

The main rationale behind closing restaurants pertains to stemming the recent upticks in Covid-19 cases and deaths. Part of this could be attributed to the fact that this time of the year is flu season, and it was correctly predicted earlier in the year that winter would bring a resurgence of the virus. Another explanation cites Thanksgiving family gatherings as another large contributor, as individuals gathered in spaces where guidelines were unlikely practiced. These are all reasonable explanations and one can go in many directions with this information, but closing restaurants is not one of them.

Although restaurants are sometimes labeled “superspreaders” according to contact tracing published by the state of New York, restaurants and bars only account for 1.43% of transmissions. Such data does not seem to be an anomaly as another report from Marion County, Oregon suggests that only 1% of transmissions could be traced to restaurants and bars.

This is how the governors of the states ruined the Trump economy and caused unemployment to go up as well. The Democrat controlled states forced lockdowns and close businesses. Then the economy slows way down. Fortunately, the Republican controlled states have reopened and are not locking down again. Trump left the economic tools in place so when businesses were allowed to open back up again the economy would have a V shaped recovery. Which is exactly what is happening right now. Except the stupid Democrat controlled states are locking back down. Which could cause more harm to the economy.

Regarding the mask in cars, my P100 respirator does say in the manual to not store used filter near a fan or window because the air will blow the contaminated particles in that room.  So removing a mask in your car would have the same concept.  The AC circulating will spread any contamination in the air while the filter is on the seat or dash.

But this would really only make a difference if you're wearing the good shit. N95, P100, etc...If you're wearing a cloth mask or surgical mask then you're still screwed.

I'm getting really tired of being right about all this absurd crap! And disgusted...

This Canadian city is extending mask mandates through December... December 2021

https://notthebee.com/article/calgary-is-extending-their-mask-bylaw-through-december-december-2021

Original article: https://globalnews.ca/news/7521524/calgary-mask-bylaw-extension-increased-fines/

So long, hope! See you in 2022 (maybe).

Calgary's city council has extended its mask bylaw through the end of 2021.

Yes, you read that right.

December 2021 😩

Though, they did indicate it could be rescinded before then if enough people get vaccinated by next fall.

Speaking about the updated bylaw, mayor Naheed Nenshi said,

"If we're looking at people in Alberta being fully vaccinated [uh, impossible, duh!] by the fall, then obviously there will be no need for the bylaw at that time."

This is the same mayor who told Covid protestors to "stop being so fricken' self-indulgent."

Residents of Calgary will also face steeper fines under the updated bylaw. Previously mask infractions would cost you a cool $50. Now they will be $100 for the first infraction, $200 for the second, and $300 for every infraction after that.

The reason for the increased fines? "At this point, everybody's got a mask, everybody knows the rules," Nenshi said. "And so if you're not wearing your mask, it's not by mistake."

Obey or pay.

Or as Nenshi actually said, "If you don't quit it, you're going to get a ticket."

Don't you just love authoritarian nursery rhymes? So fun!

Canada, what is you doin, baby??

Same stupidity as Calgary here in Hawaii today from Big Island civil defense head Magno:

Magno lets slip the true agenda "... the start to stopping all the transmission."

No strategy will ever result in "stopping all the transmission". That's how stupid/tyrannical these people are. They are not dealing with reality. They are dealing with an agenda of increasing their power to control every aspect of their subjects lives. We keep seeing this day after day and the sheeple comply. smh.

FDA staff recommends watching for Bell’s palsy in Moderna and Pfizer vaccine recipients

Oh come on man! Who the fuck cares if some people have half their face drooping like a Bassett hound? Given that their survival rate prior to vaccination was only 99.97%, it's worth it. Dead or droopy face? I mean, live or droopy face?

Oh, hell, just get the shot you selfish bastards! For the children! Er, I mean for those over 75 having 2.6 comorbidities.

IIRC, it was a total of 4 people who had it, out of thousands.

IIRC, it was a total of 4 people who had it, out of thousands.
It was 4 people in each company's trials, in the vaccine half of the subjects (one in the Pfizer trials supposedly received the placebo).

Because I'm "cynical" (realistic?) about the ethics of pharmaceutical companies in fully and accurately reporting side effects of their products (we don't need to go into the long and sordid history of that, right?), when I see them actually acknowledging an issue to the point where the FDA issues a statement, I suspect there is a possibility that either that particular problem may actually be more significant, and/or that there are other problems that will arise when a larger mass of people are vaccinated. Maybe not. Maybe it's all good nothing bad will happen to anyone. I wouldn't bet on it, given the track records of 1. vaccines, and 2. pharmaceutical companies.

Time will tell. The question remains, however, will ANY serious side effects be worth a program that is likely to save very few, if any lives? I.e. stats showing total deaths in U.S. in 2020 the same or less than the previous several years, 99.97% survival rate in healthy (no comorbidities) people under 60, the vaccine may not stop a person from carrying a sufficient viral load to infect others, almost half of Americans seem to be unwilling to be vaccinated, etc. I know, "15 days to flatten the curve"...

And I believe they recovered. But hey be like puna and take your x% chance of death instead.   I have a feeling puna would play Russian roulette for fun.  He clearly says a percentage chance of death doesn't matter

Also I believe Puna is in a risky age group most likely.  Guess he doesn't care that old people take a 1-4 or whatever current percentage chance to die.

You believe wrong you dumb shit. As usual.

Show us your source for "old people" having a 25% chance of dying. I call bullshit (/stupidity).

If you are transported by a moving vehicle on a public roadway you have a far far greater chance of dying in those circumstances than from THE VIRUS!!! But I bet you do that, and dozens of other things that have a much higher rate of potential death. Because you're both stupid and a hypocrite.

Last I saw the median age of death was 80, with an average of 2.6 comorbidities. Those people (or anyone else) should have the ability to voluntarily choose to live under whatever "restrictions" (or not) they deem appropriate for themselves (or as chosen by a designated caretaker if that person is incapable of making such decisions). The Safety Cult fear-mongers should not have the police-state-enforced ability to dictate how everyone else decides how to structure their lives. Read the above article on "Hygiene Socialism". I know you don't get it, because you're a useful idiot and want to enforce the irrational baseless (no court rulings verifying a single restriction as scientifically valid) diktats of the tyrants. Leave the rest of us alone. If we want to "gamble" with our health by having a family/friend holiday gathering... go fuck yourself.

In terms of side effects of any vaccine, people WILL die and people WILL suffer lifelong negative effects.  That happens with all vaccines.

The question becomes, does the risk of death for individuals vaccinated diminish compared to the risk of death from an unvaccinated population.  I can't count on everyone in the world to be vaccinated, nor for them to do the annual vaccinations if that's what's needed.  Right now, there's little information to go on.  It's all a guess.  So, the vaccination has to be viewed from the perspective of the individual's benefit.  If I get the shot, will I be protected from the virus?

Saying everyone should get it, and then the virus will die off is not a "plan".  The virus originated in animals.  It's been found in mink.   Do we need to vaccinate all animals on the planet that might come in contact with a human ever.  Can we?
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;

Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
