This is for the 2 Big Island Guys ROBTMC and Groveler. Apparently I got mixed up or just misunderstood. I read that Signal could be installed as a standalone device which would not require the use of a smartphone to install. I was wrong. Apparently that can be done in the Linux version but not the Windows version. Sorry.

If you have a good friend with a smartphone you can ask him to allow you to install Signal on his phone then use his phone to verify Signal. Then you can uninstall Signal on his phone. You will be registered under his phone number tho. But he won’t be connected and you won’t be able to make phone calls. But you will then you will be able to be connected to us. I got this off a chat room so take it with a grain of salt.

Still have room for a few more if anyone wants to join in.
