Hands down my FN FAL. Never broke, jammed or let me down. Use to have a 1000 yard range we would visit quite often.

Greetings!
The worlds finest Navy has decided that I have done enough damage in CA and is moving me to HI in a couple of weeks.

I grew up with firearms.  My dad built the house I grew up in and built a shooting range in the upstairs.  As I got to be a teenager disputes were settled by a shoot-off.

Living in CA has been interesting as a firearm collector.  The days of shooting whenever I wanted turned into only being able to shoot when the BLM and CA police/fire thinks it's safe...ugh.

I know that HI is no easy day for shooting sports, in fact, from what I have read in some ways it is more restrictive than CA.  Oh well, it will make me appreciate the free states even more.

I am looking forward to meeting some of you and collaborating with all of you.

Stay sharp and keep your powder dry.

Nah, Commiefornia is worse in every way.

New the forum here.  Went hunting a lot in the 80's & 90's.  Slowly getting back to target shooting & stuff.

Good to meet you all.

Moving to Maui this summer so my wife can live her dream of living in Hawaii.
We're currently living in an RV at http://20fromnow.com, but we'll be leaving the mainland from Seattle.

I've been looking for a community like this to connect with people before we get there.
We're planning to sell most of our stuff, but we do have a few things we'd like to ship.

I have some concerns about the supply chain vulnerability so we plan to grow as much food as we can through high density tricks.
I'm also not a fan of the super-state government, but I'm suppressing that for the time being for my wife.
Rather than freaking out about my concerns about the cost of living, etc. I focusing on finding solutions.

PS: If you know anyone who wants to share a container from Seattle (or Portland) let me know.

Welcome, 20.  Where on Maui do you intend to settle down and grow food?  It's possible, but uniquely challenging.  Have you selected a region yet?  I hope you and the wife enjoy Maui. It seems that Maui will love and accept you quickly if you don't look over your shoulder at how things "used to be" on the mainland. There are a lot of changes to adjust to, but the best days of summer from the PNW can be found all year round upcountry.

New spin on the local "gun shop".  We do various firearms and related training classes as soon to offer AR-15 and other "build" courses.  FFL transfers and special orders welcome.  We have a small supply of new guns for sale and do entertain offers on our "range guns" that we use in our firearms courses.
