Hi I'm Richard, 21, from the Big Island.
Joined to show support, interact with the community, and see what's on the news for us gun enthusiasts and pro-2A folks here in Hawaii.
I occasionally do hunting with my AR15 on my family's farm and I like to test small things like shooting soft armor, ghetto modifications, and some other crude ideas which I would like to share soon.
Not only do I like to shoot, but I also like to collect new and surplus military gear and apparels when I have the budget to do so such as chest rigs and russian camo suits.
I do take inspiration from SHTF type of things so I set my rifles and equipment with a militaristic or "modern rifleman" type of mindset, as well as what I think is practical.

I am young and new to this forum but I think it's special because it's a place for folks living in Hawaii to interact and share news and knowledge regarding guns and our 2nd amendment, and I would like to share some of my experience and knowledge too whenever possible and hopefully something new to the table.

Aloha Everyone,

New here! Well, I signed up last year after I bought my first rifle. Found out about 2a from macsak from another forum I signed up for. Anyways finally finding the time to introduce myself here with the locals. Like to be around us nicest people on earth. Hawaii all the way  :shaka:.. I'm finally trying to make my way to the rifle range. To finally shoot my first rifle. Put a scope on it too which is my first one. So still gotta sight in. So, probably gonna hang out here for a little while, post, ask questions, and learn what I need to do and what to expect before I come out, learn the rulez (no like get kicked out that's why! lol). And most of all, meet new people and make friends.
Btw, like to give a shout out to bruddah Dave Brilliant (Inspector) for helping me out with my questions. Good braddah right there!

Mahalo everyone! and hope to see and meet you all at the range..

Just don't do like I've seen the other newbs do at the range and point the rifle in every direction, carry it uncased past the yellow line, or run out to set your target during live fire (true story).   :crazy:

Glad to see you made over here Braddah!!! There is a group of people here. So learn as much as you can from them. Don't forget you have an open invitation to shoot with us old codgers on Sunday mornings (when I'm not dealing with my wife in the hospital).

Yeah about three months ago. The middle tables were empty and there was a lull in the firing so the guy ran out to place his target. I saw the guy next to me pointing so I looked over and started yelling Cease Fire then Mitch yelled Cease Fire over the mic. The guy was really embarrassed. Mitch said that he should put a target on his back the next time he tries that.

New member here, been on Oahu since 03 now I'm a student at manoa, part time researcher and in the army reserve.  :
Looking to buy my first rifle soon mainly for hunting boar.

Any advice is more than welcomed  :shaka:
