For the first time, I didn't have a firearm at the range. Next weekend is looking promising...

Hey guys!

New to the forum, new to shooting.  Bought my first about 2 yrs ago.  Found this site recently and now it's one of my daily stops as I peruse the internet.  Glad to introduce myself.  Apologize in advance.  I'm more of a lurker than a poster.  But I'll post when my opinion gets the better of me.

New to the forum. I am moving to the big island next fall and am a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment. Hopefully we can get CCW passed in HI was well. Been carrying for a number of yrs in MN.

Don't know 100% yet, but I am hoping for Leilani Estates if there are any rentals that fit the wants of the wife.

I lived in the area before make sure your armed to protect you and your family.  There was a shooting down the road for me I. Puna, called HPD took over 30 min to arrive.  They had only 5 officers on duty from keau to kalapana

Wow that is horrible. I hope to never have to use the arms that I have, but it seems that people are falling into savages lately. Lots of shooting happening here in MN as well.

I lived in Fern Acres on the Hilo side. I loved it there. Much more quiet than in the lower Puna District IMHO. Good luck with the move. If you are looking for some friends on another forum check out Kona Forum (http://www.konaforum.com). We are all pretty like minded over there.
