There's no way Biden will win

There's no way the dems will take the senate

There's no way Republicans will vote in favor of gun control bills

Shall we go on?

I thought Biden had a good chance to win.   Trump was the main factor in him winning and the republicans losing the Senate.   I preached since day one.  Trump was the root of all the losses.  But he has disappeared back to whatever hole he crawled out of and seems to no longer be an major issue.  Anyway back to the subject.  Not even Trump can fuck up the 60 votes needed to pass. I would place legal wagers with anyone that no major gun bills will ever pass alone.  We see this as an fact as not one senate republican voted for the stimulus.  Which would be far more popular than any gun measure.

So how much? And either way we lose. But I'd rather lose money than my rights.

F the stimulus, that was about BS and Pork. I'd rather they didn't do any of it based on the billions going overseas. Now guns, that would isolate them from us. Much like the wall around DC. Maybe it's the new Green Zone and us peasants aren't allowed. So much for the Peoples House.

We've already had "Republican" House members vote for the Gun Control bill. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the Senate. Murkowski (AK), Collins (ME), Romney (UT), Burr (NC), Toomey (PA) are just what I can think of off the top of my head as easy votes for it. I put no faith in any of them.

We tried the soap and ballot boxes. I fear for the next one and well... the last one is pine
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

Watched schindlers list. Spielberg puts dates with events that happened. Idk if legit or just for the movie dates wise.

1st it began with jews registering themselves

Then jews got moved into sections of the city into crowded apartments with multille families.

Then the jews got taken from those aptarments and put into trains.

Spielberg showed all of this.

What he missed, but wasnt important to the movie was when the jews got their guns taken away. Someone mentioned this happened in a previous thread.

So AWB doenst have the votes? Possibly. But there are other ways for them to come after the 2a. Which are being coordinated at the state levels. People complain the NRA donates $ to politicians. But way more is given to anti 2a groups and these people dont mention it.

And coming after the 2a, not only by laws. But look how many credit card processors kicked out gun stores just as 1 example.

If we were to "wager"  lets help the local community.  If you win I donate to HDF.  If I win, you donate to HDF.  Not sure on the amount you feel comfortable with.

Even if all 5 of those "flip"  that's still 5 short of the needed.   I can see XO's being passed.  The "background" check one is 99 chance it won't but, any AW ban I would say has a 0 percent chance to pass.  Unless dems go nuclear option.

if you lose and the assault weapons ban passes you turn in all your firearms to HPD. That's the wager for you most every firearms owner. It is not about you.

Fake news.  All current bills are grandfathered.  And I'm confident in winning.

I do not think she realizes that she has PTSD from the day Milk was shot and she needs to talk to a professional!
Also, let’s reignite the discussion of term limits.
This is the 3rd time in my lifetime she has pulled this shit. It’s getting old!

Since 2016, there has been a AWB bill each year.  I say 2016 cause that's when we became gun owners and I've been keep track.  And they were all similar. Named every make and model and had grandfather clause.

I was living in CA around 2000 when I bought my first AR. Sometime between the time I bought the AR and the time I left CA in 2008, CA passed an AWB that named my rifle. When that passed I had a limited amount of time to register that rifle as an assault weapon or get rid of it or turn it in to the state. I had not heard about that bill until after the date to register came and went. Which made me an automatic felon by being in possession of this rifle. I don’t know about you, but this does not sound like a free state to me. I ended up driving to AZ and selling it to a family member here.

This is what the citizens of Hawaii have to look forward to. Since you have already registered your firearms, the next step is registering your AR’s as Assault Weapons. The final solution will be forced confiscation. Whether it is forcing you to turn them into the state via buyback or voluntary turn in. Or forcing you to sell them out of state. Or forced modification into something that no longer resembles an AR-15. It is the next step. Grandfather clauses are just a way to make those who already own one feel comfortable about letting all the other laws pass. Eventually your politicians will find an excuse to null and void your grandfather clause. Especially if someone uses an AR to shoot up a school or The Rail Station or something.

I was in Cali during that time. You should have seen what Harris was trying to do to us to stop us from getting our CCWs! Although she had one and security! When that law was gone, Top Ramen never tasted so good!
Feinstein’s plan is simple, make scary rifles AWs and non transferable. Over time, they will disappear to the point of non existent! She did the numbers and it is a waiting game.

Unfortunately, during that time I was working 60+ hours and 6+ days a week and I was not following politics of any sort. I was not shooting regularly nor was I reloading at that time. I was totally involved with my tech career and put my life and hobby on the sideline until I finally quit. On a side note I was stocked up on 10’s of thousands of rounds of ammo in 9mm and 5.56.

Had just bought my first AR in  a rather nice Colt HBAR with A2 sights and handguard in the late 80's.  Of course the bastards soon passed the first registration law.

Sold it to a buddy moving to Oregon.  Now, with all the accursed liberal frenzy starting up again, may have to pack things up for Arizona.

Recentlly CA passed a "featureless" law.  Either go featureless or register.  Problem was the website crashed prior to the 12:00am so many were unable to register.  Hard to do that in HI because all rifles are registered anyways so no options to give like how CA did.

That’s how I got into it hard core again. A lot of the guys in my I.T. Department were avid shooters and reloaders. We were going after work a couple nights a week and a few weekends a month. Heck, I actually got certified by the NRA as an RSO and a Metallic Reloading Instructor during that time. It was good while it lasted

I think FPC has a lawsuit in on the AW ban trying to overturn it.

A national firearms registry, or any state registry to which the feds have access, is unconstitutional.

If you read the comments, you have to take away the fact that states instituting their own AWB with grandfathering requires the owners to register their AW.  Without registration, the state doesn't know who owns what so they can confiscate unregistered AWs that were acquired post-ban.

Catch-22:  Can't have a national registry -- can't enforce a grandfathered national ban without a registry.

So, when faced with this conundrum, what "solution" do you think Congress will choose?  Remove the "grandfather clause" to make ALL EXISTING GUN OWNERS instant felons, or create an unconstitutional registry?

If they choose the latter, the registry would make Universal Background Checks also enforceable for private transfers.

If Congress is conscious, they may see how the prohibition on a national firearms registry blocks other measures they want to pass.  I'm betting they will start pushing for a registry.  Without it, any grandfathered gun ban or UBC is moot.

They don't have 60 votes in the senate.

A false flag mass shooting might change that.  I'm sure we'll see a mass shooting with an AR (so called AW) with a high capacity magazine to try and pass the bill.  They tried it under Obama (mass school shootings) to get congress to sign on to the NATO Small arms ban, but it failed.  It's still the goal of the Dems to sign on to the NATO ban to take away our guns.  Face it the Dems are afraid of the People because of their corruption among other things that is being exposed because of Trump.

I worry about this,  but if they couldn't pass it under Obama, not sure what difference Biden will make.

AZ will welcome another patriot anytime.  :shaka:

Obviously, I cannot predict how far any of these silly gun confiscation laws will get in congress. I wouldn’t doubt the Dems will pull some sort of shit in order to get something passed. Whether a federal law or a state law. If something does get passed you can bet that HPD (And possibly feds) will be on the forefront enforcing those laws. Which goes to my premise in the “I Despise Cops” thread that while I don’t hate cops, I also don’t trust them as far as I can throw them.
