Gallup finds only 5.6% of US adults identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or something other than straight or heterosexual. The percentage has steadily increased since Gallup first measured LGBT identification in 2012.

So, are we seriously going to believe that 5.6% of the population equates to "normalcy?" 

Do what you want in your personal lives, but to celebrate a whole month PLUS every celebrity, athlete, politician and White House staffer (pun intended) simply because they say they are part of that 5.6% is mind blowing.

If that's your preference, fine.  I don't need to hear about how every facet of your life revolves around your sex life.  How many straight people have you met who do nothing but talk about how much they love the opposite sex?  Hell, in most offices, you get sued or fined for talking about it!  But displaying your sexual orientation propaganda is considered appropriate and to be applauded.

Just like race, sexual orientation is for your PRIVATE life.  It's interesting how many TV shows and running series episodes display LGBTQ people, even though it's unlikely that the 5.6% of the population would ever naturally intersect that storyline.

Off topic but some what relevant due to Pelaski's comments,

That dude doing the Olympic lifting from New Zealand.  As a lifetime weight lifter who some what can powerlift, here's my 2 cents:

1) As males get older, we get weaker and lose muscle mass due to testosterone levels lowering.  IIRC it was about 3% every year after age 35 on avg.  So this dude is in his 40's and able to keep up/out lift women. And supposedly drug free.  Add in roids and GH, then you can be in your 40's and be stronger. 
 
2) Male's prime weightlifting age is late 20's and early 30's.  So even if his hormone levels meet the guidelines, he still can out perform most females. Which shows the gender advantage

3) Most oly lifters again stop after their 40's due to wear and tear on the body. So the fact that this mid 40's dude is still going strong tells me that he recently took up the sport. As in didn't do it from age 18 or early 20's. If he did, then his joints, back, ligaments, would be all jacked up.  And he would be walking like Hulk Hogan (limping). So he got to where he is pretty quickly.

4) Had a documentary on the record holder USA's Allison Felix and how 14 high school boys in the US broke her woman's record that same year.  I don't see 14 high school boys breaking Usain Bolts record.

5) The only disadvantage he has is his age.  See #1 above.

6) I'm in my mid 30's and used to do Oly lifting  a little here and there in my early 20's and late teens (just for fun, not competitively) .  I had to stop due to wrist and shoulder problems. So refer to #3 above about wear and tear of 20 years of Oly lifting.

So wait until next olympics where dudes get to compete in their late 20's and early 30's against women.  Unless the OAC changes their rules.
