And this right here is why an Army rolling on Toyota Trucks could take back the country in a couple days.

The Afghan Air Force didn’t take flight because — God help us — Joe Biden refused to let outside maintenance crews into Afghanistan, effectively grounding the fleet.

We asked Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki for comment about Afghanistan.

Here the actual automated response: "I will be out of the office from August 15th-August 22nd."

“The Afghan Security Forces have the capacity to sufficiently fight and defend their country…” - Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, July 21, 2021. Milley had no idea what he was talking about.

That pic isn't right /  justified. GEN Milley is SF, combat diver and Ranger qual'd. Needless to say those aren't easy courses.

Well, the Taliban has taken over Kabul. The US left tons of military weapons and ammo for t h e Afgan army to fight the Taliban. Instead, they just gave up without a fight and the Taliban got all the equipment including aircraft.  Trillion $$,  thousands of lives lost, thousands of soldiers crippled for what?  Saddam Hussein kept everybody in line.  After the US took him out, chaos in the Middle East resulted.

I can respect his quals, but under his leadership he has pushed CRT, the witch hunt for White Nationalists in the ranks and now the fall of Afghan Security Forces.  As posted earlier in this thread Gen Flynn complained to the IG that the Pentagon was flat out lying to the WH and Congress about how things were going in Afghanistan for YEARS. He was balls deep in both the leadership decisions in both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also lied to the WH and Congress about troops levels in Syria.

My opinion of him might change IF he falls on his sword and resigns over what happened this week. But taking responsibility isnt something people seem to do anymore.

Maybe if the Afghan women would have picked up a rifle instead of screeching about all the rights they're about to lose things would have turned out different.  Get to work, cupcake.

Sure.  I'm saying they should have taken a page from the Kurd Ladies militias that beat down ISIS in Syria.  Equal rights require equal responsibilities.

Teaching the women marskmanship, small unit tactics and survival probably would have been a lot more helpful than what we decided we needed  to inject into their culture instead.

In 2015, Kabul University and UNDP launched Afghanistan’s first-ever Master’s degree in Gender and Women’s Studies. UNDP also inaugurated a Gender Resources Center within the faculty, equipped with computers, books and research materials.

I guess now they can explain to the Taliban about why the 'Wage Gap' and getting "Me Too'd' are bad.

This might have something to do with why the government never controlled the country. He might be qualified to head up a university, but probably knew nothing running a nation.

Ashraf Ghani, the deposed president of Afghanistan, was a professor who taught anthropology at UC Berkeley and Johns Hopkins

China going take over. Deal would be that they will stay out of A-stan's politics and lifestyle.  But allow China to harvest minerals and keep their workers safe.  In return they will pay Taliban or who ever is ruling A-stan.  China could care less if there's executions or stuff like that.  That is 1 thing they got going for them if they enter.

Word around town is the Afghan Government stopped paying the Army and the Police, and the Afghan President fled the country with so many buckets of money he had to abandon most of it. Nice job.
