God Bless the families and friends of loved ones lost in this tragedy.

May the Lord's Spirit comfort their hearts and souls.  No earthly matters can console the pain in their hearts of what happened that day.

May the Flag of our Great Country continue to fly over the land of the Free, as we courageously battle our enemies from abroad and lately, from within our ranks.

Let Freedom Live.  God Bless the United States of America.

I still get a knot in my stomach whenever i watch a movie with scenes showing the Trade Center towers in the background.

After 22 years, they have yet to be replaced,

I for one won't.  My imagination is good enough.

But yeah, the health of cat and dog guts are important.  These damn lovable animals tend to eat all kinds of crap.

Yeah, I gotta constantly watch my dog at the park because stoopid humans throw their chicken and kalbi bones on the ground. The doggy thinks those are yummy treats. It could be fatal. :shake: there are also drug baggies on the ground too.

When it comes to dogs, one of the most common dangers in homes with multiple pets is the cat's litter box.  Lots of dogs seem to enjoy eating Fluffy's poop.  However, the risk to dogs of contracting several types of bacteria (including salmonella) and a number of internal parasites is pretty high.

The risk isn't limited to litter boxes.  Lots of cats do their business outside.

Stoopid thinks that cat poop in the grass is a gift.
He rolls around in it to make sure he is thoroughly covered.
I don't know which is worse...
Rolling in the poop or eating it.

Michael Faraday was born on September 22, 1791, and was a famous English scientist. He contributed to the study of electromagnetism and electrochemistry. Some of his most notable discoveries include electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism, and electrolysis. He established the basis for the concept of the electromagnetic field in physics through his research on the magnetic field. He also established various other electromagnetic fundamentals like the fact that magnetism could affect rays of light. Faraday is considered the father of electromagnetism and he is a fundamental figure in the scientific world today.

True story...
I went to pick up some bento yesterday so I no need cook over the weekend.
The lady selling the bentos tried to hook me up with her cousin in the Phillipines.
As I was trying to pay for the food, she was on the phone trying to call her cousin.
She asked, "Are you married? you on facebook?"

There have been a number of online influencers pushing the narrative that a woman being divorced by age 30 is not just a good thing -- it's "chic".

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/model-emily-ratajkowski-divorced-age-30-chic

The decline of morals and the redefining of marriage means there's no reason the stay married just because you made those promises in a ceremony.

Many just decide to skip marriage altogether, so they can walk away from the relationship without going through a messy divorce.  the only reason they consider marriage is to ensure they can grab half the husband's wealth before moving on.  Prenuptial agreements are becoming SOP for many engaged, successful men -- and women.

As i look at my life and all the break-ups (mother/father, grandmother/grandfather/brother 3 times/etc.), I wonder if single isn't the optimal choice in today's society.  Even the IRS makes it harder when you're "married -- filing jointly" depending on your bracket.

I had a co-worker who went this route.  The girl from the Philippines was 22 years younger than him.  I'm retired now and I often wonder if he is still married.

He is a good guy and has a heart of gold.  I just hope she realized that by now.

I had a co-worker who thought he was going to marry a bar girl in Korea.  He moved there from here, and it wasn't long before we heard he was in love.

Long story short, he paid her "bar debt", which was over $10K -- maybe much more.  Who knows how much he spent on her leading up to that.  Once she was free of the debt, she moved to another town and started working at another bar -- I assume she got a windfall (new debt) from the other bar when she started working.

Never reconciled whether I pitied him or lost respect for him.  He was a very smart guy, but somehow he lost his mind when she entered his life.  The dude was probably 350 lbs when I met him.  I saw pictures from 3 years earlier when he first moved to Hawaii.  He had a knock-down gorgeous GF, and he was maybe 180 lbs.  He gained all that weight living here.  I assume his weight made him think he couldn't get another woman, so he was easy to take advantage of.

Last time I saw him a few years later I didn't recognize him.  He looked 150 lbs lighter.  I heard he had surgery to drop the weight.

It's safer to be single sometimes -- just sayin'.
