On days when HDF is not present, do you have to bring your own stand made of 1x3 lumber?
When I took the HDF gun safety training course, Mery was lugging around her own stand, so I would assume that most shooters remove their own stands after their time is up. This question pertains to the pistol range:  Are gopher holes only available at 25 and 50 yd distances?

pistol and rifle ranges require you to bring your own targets and frames
pistol range has 25 and 50
rifle range has 50 and 100 (limited 25s)

PDF of info for frame dimensions and how to make your own.

Many LGS sell both frames for pistol and rifle frames as well.

I make my own target stands because it's cheaper.  I buy the lumber from City Mill.

Also because for some reason I love to shoot the target frames instead of the bulls-eye.

Sounds like my wife. And the metal clamps, which are bullet proof. Huge dent, no hole from 9mm. Key is going with the momentum.

Only couple sides?  Say low and left?   ;D

Or be like my buddy.  We are shooting and he's getting all cocky.  He decides to try to put a bullet in each of the top/bot/left/right frame.  He does that, then shoots one of the legs.  Ends up hitting a knot in the wood and down goes my frame.   :grrr:

Speaking of binder clips, if you shoot from spot#20 at the pistol range, bring binder clips.  The metal post holder is rusted completely off on one side of both post holders. ;D

Actually I should always carry binder clips.  The RSO lent me his.  Poor thing our range.  So old........

But so glad we have a place to shoot.  For free.
