The first?  Really?

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

The first?  Really?

"The free World is strong, when America is strong and willing to use that strength to defend its interests around the World" by former VP and Trump backstabber Mike Pence.

Well, the economy of the US empire is declining, it doesn't produce much of anything China and Russia really need, there are numerous domestic and social fracture lines within the empire itself, and the Power Okole and ultrawealthy oligarchy overthrew the democratically elected DJT.  Pense is drinking his own propaganda if he believes he can turn things around better than Trump.  Pense is nothing but another potential stooge that will follow the imperial mantra, "Russia is bad; Trump, Putin, & Xi are evil; and China is next on the hit list" that will not result in MAGA, but further lead the World to WWIII.

You already know what's going to happen in the near future.  The Chinese yuan is starting to ascend its place as a competing global currency parallel to that of the petrodollar.

The more the US empire financially sanctions Russia and/or China, the more those two nations will develop their own currency of exchange (i.e., yuan) and financial banking clearing system.  Nations that are dependent on Russian energy and Chinese markets will slowly but surely delink from the US imperial financial system following their own national self-interest.  When that happens, the petrodollar might no longer have any meaning as oil might be sold in the Chinese yuan in addition to some other commodity or crypto based currency.

The US empire's days are indeed numbered and, as I said many times earlier, its financial and economic collapse might be sooner than people think.

You would just love to see that happen, wouldn’t you? Sheesh you’re like a broken propaganda machine…..

It's one thing to point it out, and another to gleefully celebrate it.

If you actually live here and are not a slave in some CCP troll farm then you should be very concerned, because it means you are just as screwed as the rest of us.

I and many Hawaiians are well aware of that.  Why do you think many Hawaiians as well as many of the other legal states in the US also want to decouple from the US empire?

It's a no-brainer.  The ship is sinking and the faster you can separate and be part of the new multipolar World, the better financially and economically you and the people of like mind can be.  Trump was the last chance to restore the American republic from the current evils of empire.  His overthrow was the final straw and any such hope is lost.

decouple

Such a nice sounding word, but it really means replacing a prosperous stable society with hunger, crime, poverty, and warfare.

What sort of lifestyle do you expect to lead in that environment that has you so exited?

You lost me when you said a prosperous stable society.

The ultrawealthy are getting richer and the ongoing inflationary forces are gutting what's left of the middle class.  The people living on the continental US are more divided than ever on almost every social construct (e.g., race, ethnicity, religion, gender, CRT, etc.).  On the other hand, the only thing one can count on living in the US empire today is seeing rampant homelessness, crime and incarceration, poverty, and social/domestic riots.

What sort of lifestyle do you expect to lead in that environment that has you so exited?
There are no guarantees in life, but one has to have faith in the people who are willing to start anew.  The Founding Fathers were exactly in the same situation when they decided to decouple from the British empire.  Americans take it for granted today, but that was probably a much bigger gamble taken by the original 13 colonies than Americans today who no longer wish to be part of the internally crumbling, morally decadent, and financially bankrupt US empire.

Nice diatribe, professor. How about you answer the question now?

What sort of lifestyle do you plan on living in Hawaii where you won't be affected by crippling shortages, poverty and violence?

Obviously not the lifestyle everyone is living now and most likely horrible with shortages everywhere.

However, if and when the Hawaiian nation is restored, the new body politic will need to work with the new multipolar World in getting financial assistance to try and reestablish some sort of normalcy in the short-term, while reconstituting a stable long-term self-sufficient economic base.  During this time, there will be violence, but with the general shortages, I would expect many residents will leave the islands for the continent.  For those who stay, mostly Hawaiians, now is the chance to rebuild the nation.

For example, Hawaii's main economic driver tourism will never go away, but with the many US imperial bases gone; in their place, reviving Hawaii's all-year-round agricultural base is of immediate key importance for food security.  In the long-run, which could take years, there is no reason to believe that Hawaii can't regain a decent economic steady-state with comparable industries suited for an island nation such as Singapore.  Easier said than done, but possible if there are people committed to rebuilding the Hawaiian nation.

So all those Hawaiian aunties and uncles who are going to suffer and die because they can't get their medication or access to healthcare...it's all worth it because the USA will get a black eye?

You sure don't sound like you live here.

What context are you talking about?

I answered your question in the context of the inevitable economic/financial collapse of the US empire due to the fall of the petrodollar.  When that event occurs, I can assure you that the rest of the former continental states of the US empire will be working on similar things just to survive.

You sure don't sound like you live here.
Oh, I can assure you my kupuna have lived in Hawaii way before Captain Cook visited these islands.   :shaka:

I answered your question

No you didn’t. Stop talking in abstractions.

Is the suffering and death of thousands of Native Hawaiians as a direct result of the collapse of US empire worth it just so you can have the satisfaction of revenge?

I’m trying to figure out if you’re a sheltered university intellectual psychopath or a CCP troll.

If it’s the latter then at least it’s honest (more or less) work.

I have no control over any suffering and death of aboriginal Hawaiians should the US empire collapses for any reason.  Hence, I do not find any sincere meaning of your question other than trying to elicit some emotional response on my part.

I am a proud Hawaiian national looking forward to the de-occupation of Hawaii.

The Saudi's move to sell their oil in Chinese yuan will exacerbate the eventual economic and financial collapse of the US empire, particularly in the US empire's ability to finance its imperial war machine.  No longer able to economically influence as well as financially export its own domestic inflation to other countries linked by the petrodollar and moderated by the currency manipulations of the FED, deficit spending will not be available to finance its many military garrisons and illegal covert/overt operations all over the planet.

The writing is clearly on the global wall and the only hope Americans have now to avert the coming catastrophe is to begin a retrenchment strategy and restrict its geopolitical aims with solely domestic ones.  Unfortunately, the Power Okole and ultrawealthy will not do any such thing and will drag its population to the ground to maintain its declining dominion.  Good or bad, they will still have their wealth and it's just everyone else will not.
