Bought a Series 70 from a friend many decades ago in SoCal. Private party sales, state can suck on it.
Nickel plated, but what can you do. Classic loose fit.
Read up on things, lowered the ejection port in the machine shop at Northrop (not cool). Added a non adjustable rear sight and a higher profile front
Swapped barrel bushings to one requiring fitting, polished the feed ramp. Peened the rails and squeezed the frame. Did a trigger polish.
Damn thing is still tight and reliable, despite my amateur gunsmith hackery. More accurate than I am, and never failed to operate. Astounding considering i did not know anything but what I read.
Still, bought a Glock or two over the years, just in case my jiggery pokery causes a malfunction.
