Problem is that a lot of red flags we hear about afterwards wouldn't have justified action. I don't know if that is true in this specific case. We can all look back and say clearly something was wrong with him but it wasn't always enough to stop them.

I agree, this one feels a little different but I think holding strong is the wrong answer, I think holding strong is going to get us crucified. We can stand our ground chanting about constitutional rights but I think this makes us seem out of touch. We stonewall against further gun control laws but do so without providing any real systemic alternative solution. We even resist non-gun control ideas.

Conflicting reports: 

1)  There was an armed resource officer on campus who engaged the shooter before the shooter entered the school causing him to drop a bag.  The resource officer was injured.

2)  There was no resource officer on campus.  The shooter entered the school through an unlocked door and encountered no resistance.


Other reports stated that in that school district there are only 4 resource officers for 8 schools.  50/50 chance of an officer being there that day. 

Next we'll be told David Hogg was on the scene, too.

Supposedly police were claiming it wasn't an active shooter situation anymore,  but rather a barricade/ hostage situation instead, so breaching could have caused more casualties as opposed to negotiators.

Interesting that US marshes were on scene so quickly.

This is not the first time cops stood outside doing nothing while kids were getting murdered inside.  They do this for 2 reasons. 1. Courts have ruled cops don't need to protect your ass.  2. They were afraid they might get shot.

Yet, soft targets exist.  Maybe they need to put up a GUN FREE ZONE sign in letters at least 18" high.

I only watched a few interviews of the neighbors and grandpa talk bout this kid. Seems he was bullied. Didnt know he liked wearing dresses until I saw someone post here. But people will only see the gun.  The gun killed all those people.  And our stupid POTUS even mentioned it when he went on air nationwide to address the incident.

Instead of offering words of healing and trying to keep our nation together, the old buffoon chooses to make the incident political.

He divided the nation just at the critical moment where we all needed words of peace and solidarity.
