So how was the movie?
I didn't want to be "that guy" who posts a bunch of spoilers before everyone else has a chance to see it first.
First impressions: They used a LOT of the same plot devices from the first
Predator movie, but once you're convinced the scene is a blatant rip-off from the original, they take you in an unexpected direction. I like a movie where I can't predict what's going to happen scene-to-scene.
Bottom line: I liked it. The ending, as with almost every movie the last 20+ years, could have had a better wrap-up.
Obviously the script writer is a Millennial. Many of the phrases used were current slang, something I highly doubt anyone a few hundred years ago would have used, much less Native Americans.
p.s. I think the Skullcandy headphones made a big difference in being able to enjoy the movie. I could crank the volume and enjoy the bass effects without disturbing the neighbors .... and their neighbors ... and so on!
