Went in at 9:50am out 10:03am to pick up permit.

Went back at 11:35am out at 12:09pm for registration.

Went in today at 1:30 got my gf to finally apply for her long gun permit. 2 people in front of us. Alot faster then the horror stories ive heard from other people. was really surpised.

Anyone know if the firearms section is open tomorrow?  I don't think it's a state holiday, tried to check their website but couldn't find anything.

I am pretty sure they follow the C&C holiday schedule.  Columbus Day/Discoverer's Day is not an observed holiday.

Yes, but the Honolulu Police Department work for the city of Honolulu which is why I posted the City and County holiday schedule.

In today at about 9:15. Only one person in front of me. Two guys and a girl with a stroller filling out paper work. Out by 9:30.  Fifteen  minutes to register my long gun.  Used the on-line form which I think made it faster as was all filled out already.
