The lunch time rush.  That's why I tried to avoid going down between 11:30 and 2ish.  Just so happens that window is about when I would go down after picking up a handgun to register it after picking up the permit in the morning.  One thing that has partially contributed to me not buying a handgun recently.

I got there at 2:25 today. The line was to the ATM machine. By 3:00 myself and a couple guys behind me made it in the door and they locked it right behind us. everyone who came after 3 was told to come back another day. There was an officer in plain clothes helping all of us getting our paperwork ready and speeding up the process greatly.  There were a couple people registering from out of state that wern't going to make the 3:30 cut off at the office door and he helped them and got them squared away.  I got out of there at 3:55 and was glad to see my car wasn't ticked because the 1 hour meter ran out.

Mahalos to the officers who made it as painless as they could  :shaka:

I was in and out at Pahoa today in 5 minutes.  How can it be that the Big Island has three places to do paperwork and Oahu only has one?

Your city & county actually took into consideration the problem of having everyone on one island register in a central location. Would love to see Honolulu open up the Kapolei police station,  and do I even dare dream Kailua too :)

bc its Oahu.
we dont have a race track either.  but thats a discussion for a different forum.
shows you how logical things work around here.
we have more population than all the other islands combined, and less options to choose from for certain things.

My first official post... Arrived at around 11:25 put $3.00 for 2hrs on meter. NO Line!  In and out in less than 30 mins. Offered my parking to someone but he said it resets?
