EVs don't charge if the power's out -- unless you have your own generator that likely used fossil fuels.   

It's one thing to be dependent on available gasoline and fuel sellers to run your vehicles.  It's something else to be dependent on the local utilities to provide electricity to run your vehicles.

It's easier to store 10 gallons of emergency fuel and take it with you than it is to store days worth of EV power in a portable storage solution.

As an Electronic engineer I'll be the first to tell you Electric motors are the way to go.
power, longevity, robustness, and cost.
Just one problem for cars they suck because we can't on a small scale make enough electricity
to run them conveniently compared to fossil fuels.
EV will fail no matter how hard Democrats shove them up our asses.
A horse is better than an EV.
Agreed not everybody can be like me and have
horses, donkeys and mules.
But if Democrats are taking us back to the Dark ages,
you should start to plan for it.

A few friends have Teslas.  They love them.  Performance and technology wise, they seem awesome.  With that much technology in them, that screams "any significant maintenance is $$$$$".
