you can vote for multiple OHA candidates...

More people voted for OHA than for Gov. 460K for OHA vs. 238K for Gov.

I;get that Aiona was about as inspiring as a cheese sandwich left out in the rain, but a lot of people absolutely hate Green. The fact that the margin was so wide is just bizarre.

What's funny is that ever since Bush v. Gore in the 2000 Presidential Election, both parties have questioned the legitimacy of any close election and challenged the Electoral College process.

It all started in 2000 when George W. lost the popular vote by like 500k votes, but won the Electoral College through Florida, where Jeb Bush was Gov, by less than one thousand votes, thereby making George W. POTUS. At that time, the "inversion" of popular vote vs. Electoral College had not occurred in more than 100 years.

Then Trump does the same thing in 2016, loses the populate vote by like 3 million votes but clutches and crushes in the Electoral College.

I voted for Duke Aiona. Don't blame me.

All the action last night was in PA and GA. The rest of the country tells me HI is not even a state. (You tink I'm kiddin'?)

Looks like the GA Senate Race is headed for a Dec 6 run-off election between the incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker.

If Herschel pulls it out, that could be the deciding race that gives the GOP a 51 seat majority in the Senate.

I think Aiona and (whoever his running mate) was approached things quite poorly.  That said, I'm still a little shocked at the tally.  So many folks I know are outraged with Green for many things.  How people don't see past his "I know what is best for because I am a doctor" is  :grrr:

Once the unions endorse you, you pretty much have the election locked up.  Those groups represent many. many voters who vote the way the union leaders decide.

Not 100%, but enough that it matters who gets union endorsements.

According to their website, SHOPO represents 2,700 officers statewide.  Not  tiny number, but still a drop in the proverbial bucket.

I agree.  Aiona disappointed me as to his lackluster efforts.  But I still voted for him.  I know he can bring a fresh outlook to government and just wish he tried harder.

And who knows, if he just took a positive stance to 2a and gun rights maybe he would've done better.  But that's debatable especially in this communist banana republic.

But I'd like to share a possibility as to why Green did so well despite so many people being outraged like you said about Green for many things.

When I was still working I would go to work the next day and my coworkers are all complaining loudly about how Democrats always get elected, same old, same old, yada yada yada.

I ask them.  Did you vote?  Most times than not they say No.  Because it won't matter, they say.  I look at them as a person would look at turds steaming in vanilla ice cream.

I would bet the majority of those complainers about Green didn't vote.  Garan Ball Barans.

For the most part I agree with you.
Voting in Hawaii is a waste of time,  why do you think Democrats here want us disarmed?
Y'all better prepare.  It isn't going to get easier.

"leaning"?  pffft.  Hawaii went full banana republic long time ago, and never looked back.  Probably been that way since Queen Liliuokalani.  Before my time.
