Capitol police chief has already come out saying that police officers were severely outnumbered which is why you didn’t see them roughing the Q guy up. It was a de-escalation tactic to try and calmly get him (allegedly) to leave the capitol.

They certainly "deescalated" Ashlee Babbitt by killing her.

Nice cover. Guess who will believe the chief.

FBI agents were present at the J6 "riot" based on informant documents.

In addition, defense lawyers for some of those arrested have filed motions for dismissals and mistrials because the government prosecutors lied to the courts and knowingly withheld evidence from defense attorneys.  That evidence includes electronic messages, the above mentioned documents and the video footage that contradicts the testimony of prosecution witnesses.

Now you know why those with 2 brain cells to rub together called the J6 hearings a Show Trial.  That's what you get when the outcome is predetermined and anything that interferes with that outcome is illegally destroyed, covered up or wrongfully excluded from the trial.

Add in being held in prison for a year and anyone would plead to anything for time already served. I hope every one of these jailed people sue and get paid. The problem will be is that the gov woudl go after the atty's and any lawfirms.  DOJ is weaponized.

Personally as a non-lawyer, I think they all have a case for prosecutorial misconduct.  The video footage should have been made available, as it could have been exculpatory or at least challenge the truthfulness and accuracy of witness testimony -- much like the video used at the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was used to discredit and contradict the testimony of several witnesses.

If someone is in jail or out on bail for 6 months to a year awaiting trial, every testimony is subject to error or willful perjury.  Their stories have been tainted by perception over time (filling in details they don't remember but now think they do), witness prep by lawyers, and watching or reading other accounts that might alter their memories.  Only a video, audio or photographic record is true, unbiased, accurate and unchanging.

They were jailed to be made an example of. Never mind their rights.  An accused murderer/rapist/drug dealer can get bail, but someone who was let in is denied bail.

We think we have rights, but the reality is we are only granted permissions that they choose to allow us.

Humans haven't really evolved beyond the "torches and pitchforks" reaction to fear and lies.  Mob mentality is hard to control.  It only takes a small majority to force a mob to abandon reason and just follow the crowd.

If the government can paint someone as a monster -- with the media's and big tech's help -- then the rest takes care of itself.  Doesn't matter what the evidence says.

it's rare to see someone stand up against an angry mob.  The ones who don't follow the group normally choose to shut up and get out of the way.

So much lying by the Left-wing media, so few retractions expected.

These are the ideologues who pretend to "report facts" while spewing nothing but "attack the Right" narratives.

Have you considered the possibility that maybe it is a true explanation?

U mean whataboutism.

They could also be foreign agents, hence why they were held without bail and many in solitary.

See, i can play too.

Does that pass the smell test?

The narrative has always been that this riot involved bands of violent protestors smashing windows, climbing walls, killing Cops with fire extinguishers, etc.  It was to the point that one Cop shot and killed an unarmed female protestor reaching through a barricaded door.

The video just released contradicts all of this.  If it was as bad as they tried to paint the picture, there was no way to "de-escalate".  Cops ushering one lone guy around isn't going to affect the actions of a riotous mob.

If the Cops were not being threatened by an angry mob, then claiming they were using a de-escalation tactic makes even less sense.  De-escalating WHAT exactly?  Can't de-escalate something that hasn't happened.

None of the narrative makes sense given the amount of contradictary video.

There was no insurrection.  An insurrection is organized and planned.

The crowd that day were a bunch of people pissed off at the election results.

A portion of that crowd were violent, destructive, and criminal.

The majority of that crowd were just a bunch of curious looky loos and on-lookers.  They were there just so that they can say they were there.

McCarthy was right.  Transparency.  The tapes belong to the people.  Make it available and they can make their own judgement.  Let them see everything.  Not just certain things.

There have been those who took a plea deal. Since you know credit card companies gave the transaction info to the DOJ to see who was in the area.

Brandon Straka, founder of the Walk Away movement encouraging members to leave the Democrat party, was arrested at the protest.  He was charged with impeding law enforcement during civil disorder, knowingly entering and remaining on restricted grounds, and disorderly conduct.  He never entered the Capitol building itself but did join in with those chanting to "Take it".

He wound up pleading guilty to one misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to three years probation, three months house arrest, and a $5,000 fine.  He was on the West side of the Capitol where there was no violence or rioting.  That part of the protest was peaceful, as the newly released video plainly shows.

Interestingly, most of those actually walking into the Capitol were charged with a misdemeanor crime of knowingly entering a restricted building.

This is how the Gov't punishes Social Media influencers who espouse the "wrong" party's views.

Quote
“I hardly know where to begin. One year ago yesterday an FBI swat team came
into my home at dawn, put me in handcuffs, and put me in a concrete cell for
several days. This was the beginning of what has turned into a year-long nightmare
fraught with mistruths, misinformation, abuse of legal process, and a savage
campaign to destroy me,” Straka wrote in a letter to his followers on social media.

“It didn’t,” he defiantly added.
