Good to prone
Last Saturday at 0800 rifle side had a few empty spots, so walk ins chances I would say is pretty good. Bc Saturday 0800 is probably the most popular day and time.
Quite a few people left after only 1 target change

Nice! Coming out this weekend then. Haven’t been there since last year. About a 2 weeks before they closed.

If you go shoot pistol, don't be surprised if your skill level sucks. No practice takes its toll.

Is shooting handguns still allowed at the rifle range? I remember seeing someone once in awhile shoot their pistols on that side couple years back

It just needs to have some kind of optic on the pistol. Red dot, scope, etc.

This is another shitty rule. I was zeroing my rifle and wanted to function check my pistol as I had trigger problems. Instead of packing all my stuff and walking over and wiating for a pistol lane, it would have been much easier to do the test where I was.  I was told the above, only if get red dot on it.

And, if the pistol side had space, but you were taking up a rifle bench with people waiting, ...

It would have only taken 2 mins tops to do. The handgun would fire 2 rds at most then not fire. Had an Apex trigger installed and they provided another type of part cause I guess the problem was common.  I explained this to the RO that it will be 2 mins and I wasn't there to zero or target shoot at 50/100  yards. Strictly function check.

Good news is the new a part worked.  I think I had a thread about this a few years ago.

The pig Theilan is not going to open up weekdays at least for the foreseeable future.

I can foresee it will be a while before weekdays open up again.

It's all based on staffing.  It was just released it takes 5 months to hire a city worker and there's a 2,500  shortage of city workers overall.  Stores and restaurants are still facing dire worker shortages.

Going to be a while.

I saw the City mentioned that as one reason why things like brush clearing on the sides of highways weren't being done, which is lack of staffing.  So. . . taxes and fees that pay for those services haven't gone down, so what is happening with the money?  Oh, like pay raises?

I have a few contacts in the parks department who have told me that she has no plans to change anything for the foreseeable future. I was also a mater HE instructor and had to listen to her bullshit as she tried to gut the program when she was with DLNR. She’s a bitch and an arrogant one to boot!

Staffing problem?  What happened to the existing workers?  Quit?  Still have those questionable levels of lead in their bodies so they staying home collecting unemployment?

By the way, how are those RSO's getting their 40 hrs. a week working weekends?

Just asking.  I have a feeling a lot of this can be solved but like it was mentioned, that lady is a puke.

And an arrogant one at that.
