I believe claymores require activation…? And, crossing the border unlawfully, absent any aggravating factors, is usually a misdemeanor.  So indiscriminate deadly force to prevent a misdemeanor is ok now?

Anyway, this is just one of several posts I’ve seen lately that seem to at the least justify, and sometimes advocate, killing people in circumstances where I don’t believe it would be legally (or morally) justified.  We’re constantly fighting against the perception that firearms enthusiasts are trigger-happy, bloodthirsty psychos, and then post stuff like this.

Even aside from all that, it seems to me to be a useful exercise to ask oneself “how would this sound if a prosecutor were reading it to a jury in my trial for a self-defense shooting?” before hitting “Post.”

If it’s just innocent people breaking the law then process them and turn them around.

But a lot of this is violent narco terrorist human trafficking and drug smuggling.

A military response is necessary and far overdue. These people have armored vehicles fitted with machine guns.

Prosecute all the NGOs who are facilitating the invasion and threaten to shut off all funding to Mexico.

And of course build the f#$@ wall

A) Which NGOs are those, and what are they doing that’s violating the law?
B) That’s gonna take longer than a second.
C) See my other post about physical barriers, and their usefulness (or lack thereof) without sensors and response forces.
D) That’s gonna take longer than a second, too.

So, just because the law books classify the crime as low-level, it doesn't matter enough to warrant extreme measures?

The numbers alone are unsustainable.  The mayor of Chicago is asking for the governor of Illinois to activate the National Guard because they can't handle the number of illegals pouring into the city.  If that's what's going on all the way up North in Chicago, imagine the problems being caused in Southern towns.

Chicago migrant surge prompts mayor issue emergency declaration

Have to look at the big picture.  As an example, say it's a misdemeanor to throw a rock at a bus.  What if that rock strikes the driver causing him to run a red light and be broadsided by an 18 wheeler which in turn kills 10 people and injures 30 others.  is he to be only charged with a misdemeanor for his one crime?

The problems are being compounded exponentially, and if we use extreme measures to solve such extreme situations, I for one will not say it was wrong.  We have to maintain some semblance of order and security at our borders, or the consequences can be (and are) much larger than a "misdemeanor offense".

FYI, a claymore can be set with a tripwire, so nobody needs to "activate" it.  Nowadays one can also use a motion detector, although i wouldn't suggest that for outdoor applications, since you don't want every animal in the dessert exploding your mines.  Any mechanism that can cause the detonator to ... detonate ... the C4 inside will work.

Seems to me this forum has gotten awfully comfortable with advocating unjustified killing.  :-X

Damn it!  I had him thinking we were both serious!

I would never advocate for the placement of any kind of indiscriminate booby trap that might severely injure or kill random people.

Where's the sport in that?

Let's get something straight that you don't seem to understand. Right now THERE IS NO BORDER

If we start acting like there's a border instead of Democrat human traffickers moving people en masse then the caravans will start turning around.

If you put troops down there and light up the cartels who are currently shooting at us then everyone is going to take a step back.

Right now migrants are actively being shuttled up through Mexico and put on planes and busses to dispersed across the country by Soros funded entities. Start seizing Soros assets and charge him with sedition.

I once lived in a neighborhood that was predominately Hispanic. mostly illegals.
I worked in a liquor store there and most the clientele were illegals and white trash.
This is all old school, but I'd much rather live with family oriented Hispanics than
African "Americans" or white liberals who have no family values,
Illegals dress their kids up and go to church on Sundays.
I'm old fashioned and think Family is important,
even if it is some what dysfunctional. Having uncles and aunties
watching over you is better than kids running loose on the streets.

Let’s get something straight that you don’t seem to understand… immigration is a complex issue, and the President doesn’t have a big lever under his desk marked “close the border” that he can pull and solve the whole thing.  “Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong.”

You start by building the fucking wall.

Create choke points so the people are forced to go through secured checkpoints.

Because we don't have a secured border, desperate people are doing desperate things and putting themselves in danger.

It's a fucking free for all out there and our stupid President is a gutless fool.  He is being strung along by the asshats that put him in an office he never would have attained on his own merit.

Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.

There's no "lever" to pull because there's no barrier.  The feds sued Southern states to dismantle the fences they created.  The feds were happy to leave the border wide open.

If there's no "lever" to pull, it's because the dems in Congress and the WH don't want one.

How about those illegal immigration waves under Trump?

Oh right that didn’t happen

I remember seeing multiple  vids on IG showing church groups (in name anyways) providing support.  Such as transportation in vans and "welcome packets".  Then add in the vids of "welcome packets" being shown that illegals are carrying that had instructions on what to if asked questions and how to get from point to point.  I mean, I assume this isn't the Mexican government or any South American government providing these.

Although legal, how does a invasion train get from point A that is like 600 miles away from the border to there?  Who provides the wheeled transport if any, water, shelter, food, etc... I remember seeing this invasion train coming from the east coast of South America and traveling to the upper West of Mexico. Which also bypassed like 4 US areas that 1 can apply for asylum.  IIRC this was when the illegal invasion happened in many countries as well and Trump warned them about this.  Places also like Germany, Greece, etc...So maybe 2018ish?  I say "legal" because walking thru ones own country of origin isn't illegal.  Or it might be once they crossed from Guadamala to Mexico.

See my post below about the multiple country invasions.  But illegal immigration did go down a lot while Trump was in office.  Now it's back up. Business as usual, nothing to see here.

The post that I'm referring to is what began the "no-go" zones in Europe.

This Biden admin has already admitted that they may need to reinstate the "wait in Mexico" policy that Trump negotiated.

That cut down immensely on the number of people crossing illegally because Mexico doesn't treat illegals as "asylum seekers" just because they check that box on a US form.
