Kind of reminds me of that song...
"Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be punks"

Or something like that.

Worst part is the father asking for more gun laws cohs too many kids getting their hands on guns. But his own son had a gun…kinda ironic.

already broke laws...cant have a gun if under 21. but of course, more laws because government is always the answer. Forget about parenting.

His father, Miguel Boswell Agoo, along with family members say they want answers as to who did this and why.

"Asking the public or anyone if they know anything to step forward, even if the shooters if there's any love in your heart to step forward" shares Agoo.

Agoo also called to Governor Green and the legislature to enforce stricter gun laws.

He said the amount of children who get their hands on guns is out of control.

His family does not wish to release his name at this time.

And isn't murder already illegal? Exactly what kind of more laws does he think would have prevented the death of his son?  Sorry but you stupid.

I remember the last word of that song line had two syllables.  Or something like that. ;)

But "punks" is good too.

When there are 2 people armed and one gets shot, the question we should be asking first is, "Was the person killed the aggressor, or the victim?"

Almost without fail, the press automatically labels the person shot/killed "the victim" whether or not the shooting was justified, and in this case they have no idea which it is.

It's not a good look to defend yourself and leave the scene without calling 911 (at least to get medical help), but if he was not legal to have a gun, there was a drug deal happening, etc., maybe he wanted to avoid those problems on top of trying to prove it was self defense.

I think the police and politicians have created an attitude of "F**k calling the Cops ... they only gonna ruin my life even though it was a righteous shoot."  They publicly threatened how it will be worse to be a victim of the system than having guns for protection, so part of the problem at least is on them for being pro-criminal and anti-victim -- the real victim.

When you read the article you come to this conclusion:

Criminals do not obey laws.

So what do you think all of these stupid sensitive places laws and CCW laws and yada yada yada gun control laws will do to deter and lower crime?

Nothing.  Not.  One.  Damn.  Thing.

Seems like it's happening on it's own. The question is how far away is a safe distance on a 600 square mile island with a million people?

I'm keeping an eye on this because they just arrested the suspect.
I wanna see how news media and politicians spin this story.

Looks like they are downplaying the evil gun angle.  It's hard to push for stricter laws when they were breaking laws about possession, concealed carry, places to keep, discharging a firearm in a public park, and I'm sure they were not unloaded and in a proper case while being transported, nor were the guns lawfully registered to a couple of teens.

I know.  Logic didn't stop the father from going political.  Maybe he's deflecting attention away from whatever his son was doing there.  Two illegally armed teens in a Makaha park arguing after midnight.  What could they have been doing there?  What was the argument about?

Quote
The suspect is reported to be another teenager and police say it appears the two knew
each other and were engaged in an argument before the shooting.

It’s believed both were armed.

One thing in my opinion is clear:  The only thing innocent in this whole incident were the firearms.  If this doesn't show that firearms are tools like any other then I don't know what will.

All the ridiculous stupid gun control laws in this whole world wouldn't have prevented what went down that night.

The left wing media and politicians in this state will never point this out.
