Major Mike Lambert of hpd said at the meeting "if you think you need a gun, then you not rugged."
By his own words, he himself is not rugged bc he needs a gun himself
I spoke with another officer that I know about citizens being legally armed and they said the same thing
But, to be fair not all cops feel that way. another officer I know a lot better has nothing against being legally armed

That's one of the most ignorant statements to ever come out of anyone's mouth, much less a Cop.

There are people who are weak due to genetics, disease, injury, age and gender.

Then there's the multiple attacker (gang) situation that nobody, even a "rugged' Cop, could handle.

And if someone else is already armed with the intention of doing you harm, you're already screwed -- rugged or not.

"Survival of the fittest" is not supposed to be the law of the land in a civilized society.

Ignorant, stupid and typical.

these arent children. these are criminals. the gun didnt turn them into criminals. they became criminals and then they armed themselves.

they want to play gangster? no. they are gangsters.

they want more gun laws to prevent these kinds of things? fine, im for it. make the parents liable for the crimes of the children. the children gets caught with a gun, or murdering with one? fine. the parent goes to jail for the crime.

I mentioned this in other threads:  HPD is no longer "Honolulu's Finest".

Far from it.

With the rank of Major I guess this doofus has been in admin too long and attended too many town hall meetings and forgot what it's like out there walking the beat.

Going through the criminal record, it's mostly domestic abuse, TRO's, DUI's, driving without a license.  Never seen so many before.

He does have one felony for theft.

The media also left out his statement about "you can teach kids about trannies, but not gun control". Something along those lines.

“You guys need to focus on where these young men are getting guns,” said one parent. “How are they learning to be murderers at 16?”
“It’s not right, and it’s not fair for families to be putting their children six feet under because these young boys want to play gangster,” the parent added.

For some reason, Michael Jackson's song "Man in the Mirror" comes to mind.
It sounds to me that these "parents" want the government to be parents to their children.

Doesn't fit their agenda.  They don't want to report that gun crimes are committed by those who don't follow or respect the law.

It goes against their goal of making law abiding citizens that legally own firearms criminals by default.

If there’s a bunch of crazies running around with guns, you probably need a gun

Agree wholeheartedly.

However, trying to convince this logical solution to our politicians, anti-gun sheeple, and their media in arms is fruitless.

They rather you die by the hands of these crazies than give you a chance of defending yourself.  As long as they are out of the picture, safe in their momma's basement or protected by their security detail.

I guess another guy in the getaway vehicle got popped and had a gun.
3 underage guys with guns?
How come they don’t report where the guns came from or if they were not registered.
Three stolen guns ?
Three Black Market guns ?
Three “Ghost” guns ? ( No way. That would have been reported immediately)
Parents guns ?

It was against all laws for these underage guys to have guns.
But we need more laws ?

At least Tupola said she doesn’t think it will change with one law or person.

Any gun that can not be identified is a ghost gun. Forget non-binary firearms. They are firearmphobic. Serial number scratched off? Ghost gun!
