SHe has changed her XO to parks and schools only.

I read "parks and playgrounds," which would not apply to all schools.

I don't know if CCW permit holders can CC on school property or not ordinarily.  Some states and school districts allow it, and others do not.

EDIT:

Quote
You may NOT carry a handgun, openly or concealed, in:

* Schools…except in vehicle if older than 19 (30-7-2.1 NMSA 1978, fourth degree felony)
* University Premises…except in vehicle if older than 19 (30-7-2.4 NMSA 1978 petty misdemeanor)
* Preschools (29-19-8 NMSA 1978)
https://www.dps.nm.gov/law-enforcement-records-bureau/concealed-carry-licenses/

So, schools are not being restricted any more than the law already does.

My mistake.

But this also would help HI's sensitve places as parks are banned.  Or HI's lawsuit would help this since a PI was already issued for parks.

None of what the governor just did matters.  There is a TRO in place, so changing the XO now is futile.  It'll be struck down completely in a week or two before the TRO expires (hearing already scheduled in Oct).

She's trying to move the goal posts before the first kick-off.  Too little, too late.  Once she signed the order, the deed was done.  Trying to water it down just shows she knows the order won't survive the hearing.

I never thought I'd see tyranny via blatant unconstitutional actions by US officials in my lifetime, yet it seems the crimes of the radical  Left against the US will continue to escalate until someone forces them to suffer the consequences.

Like I said 3 days ago...She is haggling over the price of a used car.
She needs to catch a hint.

Look out for another backdoor tactic.

You mean like revoking the first order then signing another one under a different title that does 75% of what the first one does -- with the hope the TRO only applies to the first order, not a similar one under a different name?

Yep...t's the "lipstick on a pig" strategy. This was her "Plan B"
(We need to look out for similar tactics from our local gun-hayders and anti-gun Knuds.)

That NM gov probably has a "plan-C" already. These politicians are like the clap.
Just when you think they're gone.....it's bbaaackk.

And from what I understand cannot go after these pukes if you or your family get killed or maimed or raped or robbed because they have immunity or something like that?

Even though their unconstitutional rights violations "emergency proclamations" were the direct result of it?

That sucks big time.

Actually, two years ago the Governor (same one) signed into law an act that reduces qualified immunity protections for government employees who violate individuals' rights.

So, every single person in the state can file a case at this point against the governor for violating the Second Amendment.

The reason why the New Mexico governor is doing this is because......ummm... uhhh....gee, I dunno why the f*ck she is doing this........]

I'll tell you why she is doing this... Her Soros donors/minders told her to. She owes her soul to them. I'll bet she will be taken well care of if she is somehow tossed.
She will not go hungry.
The timing is curious too. right after  Hunter Biden's indictment. What a great way to draw our media off to the Southwest away from DC.A great distraction.
Chance- 'um they said. Let's see what happens.
We know that this won't work first time, they said, but we can learn from it and do better next time.

Yeah...a distraction tactic away from the Hunter Biden indictment.  Good observation.
