Joe forgot about 9/11 -- and then he was reminded
« on: September 11, 2023, 11:02:07 AM »
There were news stories posted last night that Biden had no plans to visit any 9/11 memorials to commemorate the terror attacks 22 years ago.

I assume after much backlash, his handlers decided the administration couldn't spin this one away.

So, while he does a quick stop in Alaska  ???  to give a 9/11 speech (how Alaska figures into attacks in New York and Virginia escapes me), VP Hyena goes to Ground Zero for a 1-hour photo op and leaves as the names of the victims of that attack were still being read.

Biden spends 9/11 far from terrorist attack sites
with Alaska trip as Harris visits Ground Zero instead

Quote
President Biden will spend Sept. 11 far from the sites of terrorist attacks that claimed
the lives of 2,977 Americans 22 years ago, opting instead to send his second-in-
command to Ground Zero on Monday.

Vice President Kamala Harris stood between Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams
at a ceremony honoring the victims of the 2001 attacks in Lower Manhattan — as Biden
returned from Asia with plans to mark the tragedy later in the day at a military base in
Alaska.

Harris smiled during a lively conversation with Hochul and stayed for about an hour
before catching her return flight to Washington  — as victim names continued to be read
aloud by their relatives at the National Sept. 11 Memorial Plaza.

The mayor and VP, by contrast, did not seem to engage in much chatter — after Adams
has repeatedly blasted the White House’s handling of the migrant crisis that’s draining
city resources.

Hochul and Harris were all smiles despite Biden’s recent snub of the Democratic governor,
who wasn’t granted a meeting with him when she visited the White House on Aug. 30 to
discuss the rising tide of border-crossers.

I'm guessing they are trying to keep him out of spotlight because his decline is so rapid.

U assume that we have a choice. They control everything. It's more like if they let real voting take place.

And hyena states 9/11 and J6 are equal.

She included the Pearl Harbor attack in that, too.

not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory:
December 7th, 1941, September 11th, 2001, and January 6th, 2021."

Most of us only give a crap about Jan 6th because of the draconian punishments for people protesting a flawed election.

Sometimes I wonder if Joe is going to make it to the end of the month.

I've done some home care and to me he looks like he's in really bad shape.

From fairy tale joe to kamala the laughing hyena.

81 million votes.  And now 79% of Americans feel he is too old to continue in the job.

Makes me think of that little girl in Forest Gump, only now instead of asking Forest this question, she asks those 81 million people:  "Are you STUPID OR SOMETHING?!!"

That is, if the election was what it is touted to be.  Legit. ;D

More info on why biden was there:

Almost every single major Biden official
is making a pilgrimage to Alaska

I don't think they forgot about 9/11, there is just no need to be there. It has been 22 years, I don't need the president to show up every year for a kumbaya moment. He has other more important duties.

Selfish thing to say. It's not about you but the lives that were lost, the families that were affected, the first responders and the resulting military response.

Maybe you don't.  But others would.

Yes, 22 years can dull the moment.  But not for those who lost their loved ones.  A kumbaya moment is probably all they have left to carry on with their lives.  And it's something they need and to look forward to.

Yes, the POTUS has countless important duties to perform daily.  But making an effort to be at one of the 9/11 memorial sites to pay tribute to that tragic day should be one of them.

In all fairness President Bush was not present at any of the sites on 2005 and did a tribute from the White House Lawn.

Barack had a moment of silence on the White House Lawn in 2015.
