I use kydex for my P365 and G19 bc it's cheap and I dont care how it looks

I actually brought this to the BBQ about 4 years ago.
Some of you guys were there.
This is a custom Colt series 70 built in 1979 by the late Jim Boland.

Me too.  More utilitarian than anything else. 

kydex is good for doing what it's designed for


but kydex isn't really designed for looks. a well crafted leather holster looks so much better than kydex. leather is better suited for a bbq

I'm enjoying looking at that revolver holster.  Really nice.  I bet that revolver is a looker too.

it's a GP100 Wiley Clapp.  It's not really a looker. has a dull matte, duty finish. not as good looking as a blued finish. but it's different than a normal GP100
has a brass bead front sight, rear Novak sight which I changed to an adjustable Novak sight, the Wiley Clapp grip inserts, checkering on the rubber grips, edges are smoothed out for easier re-holstering, feels like the trigger is better than my normal GP100 when the trigger was stock
I used to use the holster and revolver when I would shoot at a friend's farm, but I no longer go there.  too bad, I miss shooting on the farm
IMO, not so much a looker, but more of a conversational piece at a bbq

I prefer leather > kydex
Leather is less wear and tear on the gun's finish
Leather holster rides close to your body and it's more comfortable than kydex
Leather is much better looking than kydex, making a better bbq rig

U can also throw the leather holster on the grill if steaks run out.

This reminds me of the time a whole bunch of us co-workers went to Outback to eat steak.  One guy insisted his steak to be 150% koge.  Or more.  When our orders arrived he sent his one back to be cooked some more.

The waiter raised an eyebrow but nonetheless obeyed his order.

We all ended up eating our steaks and were into desserts and then his steak finally arrived......
