Good Bye Wayne

He will be gone at the end of the month. The same board of directors are still in place.
The NRA provided law enforcement like HPD training for many decades, but are any
agencies grateful for their kokua?

"The same board of directors are still in place."
I'm a life member, been one for over thirty years now.
I vote for directors.  Not all of them.
The problem is La Pierre manipulated the system to his advantage.
Nobody had the balls to fire him. Till he ran the NRA into Bankruptcy
and legal problems, he should have re-incorporated in Texas or somewhere else.
with all his per Diem, travel, and PR funds.
Problem is we vote for directors based on their gun support
Resume's,  not their administrative  or political acumen. I'd go to directors
like Oliver North and Ted Nugent types to be on the board.
Then I'll reconsider donating again.
For now, other than my yearly NRA-ILA calendar, most my donations go to GOA,
and some crumbs to HIFICO(sp?).

What would really be powerful is if GOA and NRA merged.
NRA could concentrate on gun education, hunting, marksmanship, safety, and the GOA part could rip the
USA gun laws to shreds preserving our 2A rights.

I was happy to talk with La Pierre during his visit to HI decades ago, but that was then.
My life membership used to mean a lot to me.Today they need to tear down/rebuild it.
There were many worth while programs and services, maybe they can still keep these
but it depends on what the new regime does. If the same board members remain in power,
nothing will improve.

You guys remember Neal Knox? His battles with the NRA leadership were never ending.
If Knox was still alive and kickin, I am sure he would have a lot to say about this.

Like America...the organization and ideals are more important than the men in it.

I agree 100%

However the men in it don't seem to think so or even care.  They fight, scratch, and hold on to their positions because of greed instead of the greater good.

I read he has also been charged with criminal fraud
against the NRA, eg. theft of money.
He's looking for a plea deal.
That is why he quit.

Have you seen how much he'll get when he resigns?   :wtf:  :grrr:  $17 million...At least my membership dues won't be used for this as I have not been a paying member since LaPierre's problems became known.
If the Board of Directors approved this they should all be asked to resign IMO.

That was mentioned in that video.

You should watch the whole video.  She does a very good dive into all the NRA scandals and recent actions being taken.
