Just out of curiosity what do you NEED from local government?
 

Someone who can bust up monopolies without widespread violence breaking out

Schools
Roads
Infrastructure (water, sewer, electric power, communications)
Law Enforcement (actual enforcement, not what we have here with 50 arrests and still on the street)
Safe medications
National Security including a secure border
A well-trained and equipped military force
.
.
.

Other than roads most everything I have is privately provided
I agree with roads, Realistically other than legal public access
issues,
I can go most anywhere I want.
be it hiking, horse, 4wd, or sailing.
 
I don't need the local or state government.
Crime is easy. y'all got a gun?
someone hurts you or family, do the eye for an eye.
If you abuse that you get nailed.

Hang 'em High was all about using the law, not vigilante justice, to punish those who commit crimes -- based mostly on morals than statute.

Cooper (Eastwood) had more than one conversation with Judge Fenton (Hingle) about the difference between vigilantism (what was done to Cooper) and being tried and then found guilty and punished.  In order to be fair, the law has to be impartial, unbiased and unemotionally objective. 

The eye for an eye Old Testament recipe for justice might sound enticing until you're the one being wrongly accused -- hanging from a tree branch and left for dead.

That's when due process and an appeals court starts to make sense.

Hawaii government is a JOKE!
No mater if is monarchy or Democrat( is there a difference?) run.
on a per capita basis Honolulu county has the most expensive, useless rail system in the world
and it won't be used very much.
Honolulu county is a laughingstock for good reason..
My wifes county, Hawaii isn't much better but they are so many
poor the county  can't do stupid as there is no one to pay their bills.
Their best buses for public transportation are Honolulu's worn out buses.
I love Hawaii and it's people, but the government top to bottom
should all be gassed and burned.
Start over with a new set of people.

All depends on what side youre on. The dnc controls everything, so this isnt a big issue to those in control.

Now when Hawaii doesn't like someone's speach or religious beliefs because they (Hawaii Supreme Court Judges) feel that it violates the "Aloha Spirit", now those rights can be stripped away?  And what about if they feel the police can just come to your home, enter and search without warrant, I guess that's OK as well?  Folks, we are far beyond a slippery slope right now..... we're at the edge of a cliff!

More than ever citizens need the ability to be able to protect themselves from random shootings, stabbings, acid attacks, and it's not getting better. The level of street violence has gotten completely out of hand.

I forget which mainland Vlogger was making fun of Hawaii's Supreme Court by specifically pointing this out.  It's in black and white on the Hawaii State Constitution.  Verbatim.

This is a very dangerous precedent this judge is setting. The AG will use this logic in their arguments for their pending lawsuits.  They're still using "public safety".

In my opinion it is very flawed logic.  Law abiding citizens follow the law.  If there are laws in place (which I believe there is) that states how these weapons will be secured from illegal or untrained hands (like children) then where is the concern for "public safety"?

Banning the right to choose what type of legal firearm and thereby restricting my right to self defense and that of my loved ones with the weapon I'm comfortable with is discriminatory and unconstitutional.

Not being able to be our own first responders put the public in danger.  But our AG and our government leaders don't see it that way.

That's because they use public safety as an excuse.  This issue was NEVER about public safety.

AG and government leaders are full of shiite.
