Another thing to do is get gun stores to oppose the legislation and have their customers do the same.

I tell gun stores to do it, and very few do.  It helps when a lot of customers demand it.

It would be nice if you could drop a stack of small flyers on them telling them how to give testimony or how to get in touch with HIFICO

Maybe leave a blank spot for new legislation deadlines so you can change it as needed. I'd help drop some off.

What about that guy, the one who advertises with pretty girls that sport flat triggers.

Is he going to testify?  In person?  I like watch him again. :geekdanc: ;D

I wonder who he will side with. Cause these are being banned due to public safety.

Awesome. Look at what people are shooting and if its a semi auto rifle or pistol with a threaded barrel, let them know.

That's exactly what I did. About 80% had no idea what was going on. In my email testimony I scolded them for wasting my time and money on this legislation.

But youre retired. JK.

Ita good u hit up the range. When we did the mag ban a few years ago, about 60 testimonies from a few hours on 1 day alone. Most had no clue and were pissed off about it.

I plan to do the same as you.  So far I e-mailed my senator while I'm still working on the wording for my testimony.

Under this proposed asinine law, are current firearms grandfathered in or is this a sweeping ban on all current registered firearms that meet the outlined criteria?  I read the entire proposed amendment but it wasn’t really clear to me. Thanks!

The language looks similar to the verbiage in the 1994 federal assault weapon ban. Looks like Biden and his administration is pressuring the states to push this crap at the state level. BTW…just seen this mentioned on Fox News by Joey Jones as he stated Hawaii is attempting to go against the federal ruling and US Constitution by banning virtually all firearms. Was his one bad thing of the week topic.

There is a grandfather clause. But this applies to accessories as well.

So u cannot buy new parts or have them mailed to you from out of state or given from a friend in HI.

Once this passes, they can always remove the grandfather section when they want too later.

don't forget to enter "support" or "oppose" in the beginning
then write how it personally affects you...

Oh, I figure it won't stop there.  Sometime in the near future:

Men arrested for firing lever action firearm at man in car.

Then:

Men arrested for firing bolt action firearm at man in car.

Then:

Men arrested for firing revolver at man in car.

Then:

Men arrested for firing single shot firearm at man in car.

Then:

Men arrested for throwing rocks at man in car.

Then:

Men arrested........fill in blank.

Don't assume too much. The Star Advertiser had the same story word for word. So it looks like SA and HNN just passed along a generic press release from....guess who?

Yeah that makes sense. HNN decided to put it in the headline though.

Slow news day.
BTW, notice the wording of the press release to make it ambiguous. The weapon might have been a pistol, rifle or shotgun. I'm guessing hpd wanted to mentally associate this incident with the gun ban hearing on Wednesday.
