Mob mentality is not a given in all crowds.  In fact, the norm is for people to do what they know is right even if the mob is doing wrong.  These are not Liberals we are discussing.

What I said was "the events were 100% preventable."  Show me where I said a larger police presence would have done that.

There's more than one thing the people in charge that day failed to do.  Refusing to increase law enforcement presence was just one of them.

I blame the few instigators for the violence, not the police presence.  Wait -- that might have been one in the same.  Reports show that the FBI had their agents in the crowd.  they refuse to say who and how many.  Ironic that the conspiracy theory that the FBI orchestrated that riot is based in facts the gov't is partially trying to cover up.

Having the second sentence follow the first implied that had Pelosi increased security then nothing would have happened.

Might a bunch more cops and national guard averted any violence or property damage? Maybe, but I don't know how you can claim such a thing with absolute certainty. Being liberal is irrelevant, conservatives are still human and subject to tribal mentalities than can lead to things like this. Hardcore MAGA people are just the other side of the same coin as hardcore anti-trumpers.

It is fairly common to have plain clothes officers in large protests. The fact that FBI was present alone isn't enough to claim they were instigators. Not saying it isn't possible but need more than just that coincidence.

And 1 cops gun gets stolen from his car. I wonder if anyone here was able to leave their gun in their car, would they be treated the same?

Once I saw a Sheriff arrive in uniform with gun to the gym. He went into the lockeroom and changed and put his gun/gunbelt inside the locker. Gym lockers are known to get broken into as there are no cameras in the lockerooms.

Then SSD worksout too at the gym, but they have a gun vault type of thing in the trunk of their SUV's. But their plate carrier isn't in this vault, nor the ammo can that I saw, which I assume has ammo in it.
