This past Sunday made 120 days. I have not received a letter from HPD. Also, a friend went a few days after me and has not received any letter.

Ok geez - super sorry for all of us to hear that.

Have you contacted them about it?

Maybe “no Chief” chaos? - hope we’re not all part of the next lawsuit against HPD.

Thanks for keeping us all in the loop.

If you’d rather I can do the contacting (nothing special whatsoever about me - it’s just not everyone likes chatting up the police ….).  Mine hits 120 in about 3 weeks.

Yes for sure.

I have the NRA CCW cert too, but haven’t applied online yet.  Hope there isn’t a time limit between the certification date and application date - like Honolulu….

I emailed HPD this afternoon, waiting for a response.

My letter was signed on the 118th day, received one week later.

Now, time for my favorite Portagee wedding toast:

Anyone added a gun to there ccw license?  Is it too much of a hassle?  Do you have to take the range test for the new handgun and then do the paper work and forms and wait 4 months for a new ccw card? Thanks in advance.

Yes this is basically verbatim what the Officer told me when I picked mine up 2 weeks ago.

Make sure they don't take your current license when you apply for the new one.  You'll want to carry while waiting.

I can see someone there thinking they want to get your current license to process the new.  If they ask for it, tell them they can make a copy of it if they need, but you aren't giving it up until your new license is in your hand.

Might not happen, but you should be prepared to decline if asked.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Today marks 3 month wait time on my add-on.
Yes - You will need to qualify with each gun you want to add on (unless someplace will just sign off - not common practice)
Yes - You will need to do paperwork each time you add on (1 or more at a time)
Yes - The full waiting time applies.

I actually thought the add-on might go faster, especially because I did an add-on essentially at the time I picked up my initial license, but like I said, sitting on 3 months as of today.

At least I can still carry now, but weight will be definitely decreased when I get my add-on.

Got my letter today which was dated on the 27th, exactly 3 months in.

I knew it would just come when it did.  Guess a trip to HPD soon.
