I think this is the one I remember but there may have been another one.

The guy hoped the fence, made it to the building, got inside through an unlocked door, and made it all the way to the East Room before being tackled.

Disregard my statement about running the metal detectors as it's a fence jumper.

Investigated? Maybe but I would say remedial training primarily.

I do think that incompetence is the most likely explanation.

sure sounds like you are saying what did happen

Contrary to what you seem to be thinking, I am not saying what did happen, I am only pointing out to you that you are jumping to conclusions in claiming it was corrupt.

Let me pose this question to you, using your own reasoning. If you were going to go frame the president for something, would you put the smartest guys on it, not ones who would make so many mistakes?

This was hailed by the Left as the strongest criminal case against President Trump out of all the other sham prosecutions being filed to keep him out of the White House.

The Left/Liberals/Swamp are livid.

The best part is the DOJ and the democrats in DC did it to themselves -- which is par for the course.

Court ruling:
Quote
The superseding indictment is dismissed because Special Counsel Smith's appointment
violates the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.
U.S. Const., Art. II, § 2, cl. 2.

Special Counsel Smith's use of a permanent indefinite appropriation also violates the
Appropriations Clause, U.S. Const., Art. 1, §9, cl. 7, but the Court need not address
the proper remedy for that funding violation given the dismissal on Appointments Clause
grounds.  The effect of this Order is confined to this proceeding.

As we've seen over the last year with the ATF and other Executive Agencies, it's not so much what they are doing, but how they are doing it -- violating the Constitution and then having to be swatted down by the Supreme Court.

They knew this was coming, which is why they escalated their actions.

And, now the targeted employees are no longer targeted.

Trump's Mar-a-Lago employees no longer
face prosecution in classified documents case

Walt Nauta, Carlos De Oliveira were charged
with conspiring to obstruct FBI investigation

Quote
The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday abandoned all criminal
proceedings against two co-defendants of President Donald Trump in
the Florida classified documents case, wiping out any legal peril the
pair could have faced.

Trump valet Walt Nauta and Mar-a-Lago property manager Carlos De
Oliveira were charged with conspiring with Trump to obstruct an FBI
investigation into the hoarding of classified documents that the Republican
took with him when he left the White House after his first presidential term.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed Trump's case in July, saying
that the prosecutor who brought it, special counsel Jack Smith, had been
illegally appointed by the Justice Department in November 2022. Smith's
team planned to appeal that ruling, but abandoned that after Trump's
November election win.

However, an appeal of the dismissal of charges against Nauta and De Olivera
remained pending. On Wednesday, prosecutors informed the Atlanta-based
11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that they had withdrawn the appeal, formally
ending the case.

"The United States of America moves to voluntarily dismiss its appeal with
prejudice," prosecutors wrote. "The government has conferred with counsel for
appellees Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira, who do not object to the
voluntary dismissal."

The Justice Department had previously committed to not making public
Smith's report on the classified documents investigation as long as
proceedings remained ongoing against Nauta and De Oliveira.

i expect that last paragraph is implying the investigation documents can/will be released to the public now?

I'd be very interested to see how the DOJ rationalized an armed raid at Mar-a-lago when nothing close to that was done for Biden's illegally stored classified documents.
