"that story is what compelled me to introduce the bill". What he really means is "I want to take peoples rights away, and needed a sad story to get emotion on my side".
Funny, he never once mentioned this for any of the hearings. I call BS.
If I'm reading this bill correctly, EVERYONE must check ID's before giving any ammo. Even to grandpa's. The bill doesn't say "if they look over 30, then no need".
This also means, if you let someone shoot your gun, you must check ID's. Also, no tossing mags to your teammate during exercises unless you checked their ID first.
