Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is ordering all votes for the 2024 presidential election
to be cast by paper ballot.

Youngkin issued Executive Order 35 on Wednesday, which codifies election security
protocols established under his governance for all future elections.

One of the most notable requirements of the security protocol is the exclusive use of
paper ballots with a traceable chain of custody, offering a more concrete record of votes
cast than widely-used electronic voting machines.

Other aspects of the Virginia voting security protocol include the use of DMV data to
verify voter identity, offline counting machines and more.

Virginia authorities are searching for a man who they suspect burglarized a
Trump for President 2024 campaign office over the weekend.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said an unidentified man is connected to
the burglary that occurred on Sunday at the campaign office in Ashburn,
Virginia, according to a department news release. The office is being leased by
former president Donald Trump's campaign and also serves as the headquarters
of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office received a call about the burglary around 9 p.m. and deputies
responded, according to the department. The sheriff's office has surveillance
footage of the suspect who appears to be wearing dark clothing, a dark cap and
a backpack when he entered the campaign office.

WASHINGTON – Former President Donald Trump’s campaign said Saturday
that some internal documents and communications had been hacked and
leaked to a news organization − and blamed it on “foreign sources hostile to
the United States” intent on interfering with the presidential election.

The acknowledgment by the campaign came after Politico reported it had
received emails from an anonymous account with documents that purported
to be from inside the Trump campaign operation.

"These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the
United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos
throughout our Democratic process,” campaign spokesman Steven Cheung
said in a statement to USA TODAY.

X owner Elon Musk has claimed that a "massive DDOS (distributed denial-of-service)
attack" on the social media platform affected his interview with former president
Donald Trump.

The billionaire entrepreneur was due to interview the Republican presidential nominee
at 10am AEST, but users ran into issues when trying to access the platform formerly
known as Twitter.

The site showed that the page was "not available" shortly after the scheduled start for
some users, though about 214,000 people appeared to have joined successfully.

So influencers get paid via how many views they get.  I wonder if Elon paid himself?  I mean X and Mush are 2 separate entities.

Virginia Governor enacts executive actions to secure the November 2024 election:

All ballots must be paper ballots. 

DMV records will be used to verify voter identity.

All ballots must be secured for at least 22 days after election day to allow for recounts.

No voting machines will be used.

Only ballot counting machines will be used, and they must be disconnected from any Internet-connected device.

All absentee ballots must include the voter's partial SSN and date of birth, and must match that information in the registration records.

Absentee ballots will only be sent to voters who requested one prior to the election (no mass mailings to all registered voters).

Ballot drop boxes will be monitored 24/7.

Virginia has become a swing state.  After all this is enforced, it may become decidedly Red.

After the 2020 election, the GOP tried to sue states that used executive actions to mandate election rules for the state instead of using their legislature as required by the Constitution, but courts dismissed the lawsuits citing lack of standing.

So, even if the DNC tries to sue VA to stop this, there's precedence to shut it down quickly -- precedence created by the Democrats.
