TDS trumps logic.

Trump did fairly well in his term in office.

The current two bozos did more harm to the country in the 4 years they have been in office than ever was imaginable.

Not to mention we are at the brink of WW3.

I wonder how much more he would have gotten done if he wasn't being targeted by lawfare, the corrupt DOJ, TDS sufferers (senate/house), etc...

Trump had 4 years to fix everything.   So that complaint has less meaning than people pretending the VP has all the day in Bidens policies.  Don't here people blaming Pence for Trump's policies.

As for the border, Trump killed the border bill for politics.

Kamala isn't perfect or even all that great,  but out of the only two options she is the lessor evil.   With the record early voting turnouts,  things are looking good for her chances to win.

The Maga crowd is already spreading nonsense about election fraud.  Pathetic.

right
because he ruined the country the last time he was in office

unlike the current administration, where real wages are down, and consumer debt is at record levels...

4 years to "fix everything" is not much time. He did fix a lot, but not "everything".

The border bill was a bad one. Did the fake news tell you to bring this up?  My google search of it has pages of articles from this year (2024) and Trump was done in 2020. Now why would that be?

The bill was bad because it took power away from ICE and immigration judges. Basically the DHS person behind a desk can grant admission to the US for an illegal. These people often don't hold any type of law degree. Think rubber stamp process.

2nd, the bill allocated billions to services for illegals like medical and care.

Usually a VP doesn't do much, but she was given the task about the border. Now has illegal border crossing gotten better or worst since she took over?  And if it got worst, what has she done to reduce it?

the border bill was a bad bill
it was killed because of that, not because of politics
4 democrats voted against it
so opposition was bipartisan...

Jaco808, don't let your TDS dominate your posts here.  It is true.  The border bill you're talking about was a bad bill.

Here are things to ponder:

Like CMO mentioned, kamala was put in charge of border control.  CONTROL!!  What to this date has she done about it?  (besides nothing.) ::)

Recall when kamala and joe assumed office.  What was one of the first things they did.  They dismantled Trumps border policies.  Illegal migrants crossed the border unvetted.

Then with elections coming up, all of a sudden a bi-partisan bill on border control comes up.  After 3 years of doing nothing!!

So who do you think is really being "political" on the border?  Trump smelled the rat(s) and called them out on it.  Trump urged to kill it because it was a bad bill.  Plain and simple.

If your two heroes were that concerned about the border, they wouldn't have:

#1:  Dismantled Trumps border policies in 2020.  Instead they should have re-evaluated it and fortified it where needed.  But we all know their TDS was worse than yours.  So like children they destroyed it without thinking.  You know, like children do.

#2:  Not wait for almost 3 years and do nothing about it and then realize it's election year and their popularity is tanking big time.

In my opinion, those two heroes of yours, after doing #1 above, was the pre-cursor of more stupid things to come.

Polls are not as accurate as before.  There is plenty of support out there for Harris.  Alot of young votes, many who don't participate in polls.   I can count on one hand how many people I know who still have a land line.   Polling methods need to evolve.

Computers are easily hacked.

Pencil and paper, not so much.

I've always wondered.  Why the rush?  Why do results need to be declared so soon?  Computers and technology can give us that.

I would be in on modern technology to help with the voting process because it will and can help with accuracy and speed up the process that so many people are obsessed with.

But when they started to implement things like no need to provide proof of citizenship is when I started to not trust the process.

To this day I still cannot wrap my head around why our political leaders cannot see that that is a red flag.

You left out that demographics also play a big role. If HI was pollled for Trump vs. Hyena, it would show up majority Hyena.  Same with gun polls to people who don't know what the 2A means or says. Honolulu's city cousnel's lawyer used a Star Bulletin poll to support their sensitive places brief.

Correct I'm mainly talking about those who are using gambling websites or current polls to try and say the election was stolen when it doesn't line up.

We have an entire election fraud thread. I suggest you read all the pages as evidence is posted to back up any claims.

I would trust gambling odds more as they need to make sure the spread is correct over a poll done.

I remember when mail-in ballots were for special circumstances.  Like disability.  Or deployment overseas.  Or absence during election days (trip, vacation, etc.)  You had to request one and explain why you want one.

Now it is the norm.  Now the government mails it to you.  Do I trust the government to vet the "citizens" it mails the ballots to?  NO.

Why don't I trust them?  Because that same government passes laws that doesn't require proof of citizenship to vote.  WTF.

Government is getting lazy.  The ainokea spirit.  Evident when you look at the back of the mail-in ballot and it says if the addressee is no longer at the address, then return the ballot.  Who the fuck is going to do that?  The current resident at that address?  yeah, right. ::)

We used to have to register to vote for an upcoming election.  If you missed an election cycle you need to re-register.  This keeps you and your address current.

People have gotten the mean case of the ainokea spirit and the government is the same.  Maybe the people who don't vote and don't care is the reason we are at the point we are today. :grrr:

Is it your belief that only people with landlines are being contacted by pollsters and not cell phones?

Is your belief that young people don't get calls from pollsters or participate in polls?

Your assumptions are false.

Quote
And in the early 2000s, we started to switch to cell phones. Nowadays, 95% of
our survey calls are targeting people’s cell phones. But increasingly people don’t
answer their phones as much as they used to. And it’s expensive and time-consuming.

So today, about half of the polls you read about are conducted through online panels.
Some of them are opt-in panels where we reward people for joining (e.g. through a
small monetary reward). Other panels – the best ones -  actually survey people and
get them to join the panel. The nice thing about a panel poll is there’s maybe a thousand
people on the panel in each state who will regularly poll for you, often online. And if a
pollster wants to poll only seniors or only people with a junior college degree or less, they
can send their poll only to those people on their panel list.

I saw the thread,  false claims.   If any of it was true,  there would be successful court cases.  So far all that made it to court were dismissed.
