The in person used to be at school cafeterias. Very convenient as you don't have a mass of people going to HOnolulu Hale, which has shit parking. This is designed to get people to support mail in voting, but they still can say "well, you can vote in person".

I quoted your whole post. Check again.

It doesn't matter how many states Kamala won or Trump won. Parties are private organizations and they can choose their candidate however they choose.

Why are you even complaining, were you actually going to vote democrat if it were a different candidate? Are you upset that they picked such a terrible candidate? You should be happy, picking her, I think, gave Trump the win.

Although I agree with you that anointing Harris to run did make Trump's odds better, it's about the destruction of our electoral system, and a reconfiguring from the democratically based system we have to a dictatorship. I can also add the hypocrisy of the party trying to destroy the democratic process blaming the other side for being a threat to democracy. A single figure behind the scenes, or an oligarchy decided Joe couldn't win, so they didn't pull him out of the race, they replaced him, effectively telling you that your votes went to Harris. First, that same person/machine, kept any threats, such as RFK , off the ballot, so Joe could win. Tampering with the system to select a candidate. Then they removed Joe, and anointed Harris to the position. Clearly the way a dictatorship does. Whether I vote for her or not, does not change the fact that these types of shenanigans are a threat to out democracy, so anyone that cares for it would feel the need to fight against it. To me, to hear you say" why are you even complaining" tells me you don't care about the Republic, or its electoral system, and more so speaks of your commitment to a moral center. To effectively say " why do you care if they cheat, if it hurts them?", is an admission that you don't care for truth and honesty. Just me opinion.

I know a few people who have gone in person for early voting. I was going to wait till election day but I realized they will only have 2 or 3 sites open for in person voting. I will probably avoid the lines and go do in person voting tomorrow. Maybe my wife can drop me off.

I think the best way to look at it is a logistical question. In order for the democrats to hold a proper democratic vote to replace Biden they would need to hold new elections in 50 states as well as the US territories (if I understand their process correctly). Not only that but it would have to be done in short order considering states need time to print their ballots. I did some checking and I found out that ballots are mailed out as early as 60 days before the election which would put it at Sept 5. Biden dropped out on July 21 which left about 45 days. Printing takes time so lets say, for the sake of the discussion, they are printed 5 days before leaving 40 days for each states democrat party to organize a democratic process. Are they going to print and mail millions of ballots, will there be in person voting as well?  I wonder if it would have even been possible for the democrat party to accomplish such a task?

As a matter of principle I do agree that the political parties should strive to have a democratic process in the event that a candidate leaves the race.

Wrong.

The Democrats built so much of this campaign on saving Democracy so they can hopefully gain traction from all the Jan 6th rhetoric -- even though most voters interviewed have no idea what happened on that day -- just what the media tells them.

So, it literally does matter when the person supposedly defending Democracy takes the nomination away from the winner without having participated in the primary proess at all.

And yet you don't have to vote democrat, effectively you still have your voice represented.

Does anyone know how to verify if your vote was counted? I know if you go in person the machine gives you a sign indicating it counted the vote but with mail in ballots how do you know whether your vote was counted? If the post office lost it or if the signature didn't match for example?

This is what they want you to think. They knew since day 1, which we have all been saying that Biden's not mentally able to make decisions. They used the "last minute" excuse to push Hyena thru.

Why? What is he going to do this time, that he didn't do the first 4 years in office?

Exactly.  Patsy Mink is another example of the Dems gaming the system.  They pretended she was getting better until after the deadline passed to take her name off the ballot.  Dropping from the Senate race would have given the race to her Republican challenger.  Instead, the governor was allowed to appoint a replacement for the last few months of her term, then hold a special election for the following term -- at HI tax payer expense.  All that, just so they didn't risk losing the seat to a Republican.

Mink was hospitalized with viral pneumonia for nearly a month and passed away on Sept 28, 2002, just one week after the ballot printing deadline.  We were told by her campaign several times she was improving, yet she never gave a public statement herself.

Most of us already voted.  Whether for President Trump or VP Kackles, your posts are futile.

Have a great election day, and try not to be too depressed when the race is called for Trump before all state's have reported in.  Once he's over the 280 electoral total, the rest of his 313 vote total are just gravy.  He only needs 270, FYI.
