Kinda off subject but your post reminded me of something that happened long, long ago.  My brother in-law wanted to see my revolver.  So after I did a safety check I handed it to him.  He immediately pointed it to the head of his wife. 

Couldn't believe it.  When we questioned and chastised him on it he said "Why, no stay loaded".

I took the gun away from him and from that moment on he never saw nor did I ever engage in firearm conversation with him again.

Ever.

A while back he asked me if I still own firearms.  I said no.  The way I said it made him realize the subject matter is over and not open to discussion.
Sometimes you gotta know when to save your bullets.
