Vets. when I saw the headline I was expecting a large group of vets. Looks like one, maybe two.
David Berkowitz, aka Son of Sam serial killer, was an Army veteran. He committed 6 murders and inflicted injuries on 7 other victims.
Gary Ridgway, aka The Green River Killer, was a Navy veteran. He was sentenced to life in prison for 49 murders.
Jeffrey Dahmer was an army veteran. He killed 17 men/boys and was convicted of 15 of them when sentenced to life in prison
Timothy McVeigh was a decorated Army veteran who served in the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm. He murdered 168 people and injured more than 600 others in the OKC bombing.
While i see military service as a positive thing, it by no means gives anyone special status in civilian affairs -- especially when it comes to them attacking constitutionally protected rights such as the right to keep and bear arms.
Being a veteran doesn't make any gun control advocate less wrong, just like military service doesn't make serial killers and mass murderers less wrong.
