Back in the late 70's my night job was a band roadie and on my 21st birthday, we were playing at Great Lakes Navel Base just outside of Chi-town.
Other than the stack of 3/2 beers, the boys gave me a tip.
End of the night they saw me rolling up hundreds of yards of speaker, lighting and audio cords to be stuffed in a rolling case the size of 2 caskets.
They showed me how to wrap all lengths in a Daisy Chain (half hitches).
All my electrical cords and ropes, some exceeding 100ft are wrapped like this.
Can just throw them in a bucket , box trunk, back of truck and they never tangle. Plus you can just easily unravel any amount you need and begin wrapping where yo left off when done.
For longer cords, double or quadruple the line before starting.
