Lets see...

It was a different make, different model and a different color than the truck they were looking for.

Dumb asses.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Hopefully someone brings up this incident on Peirs Morgan's show when he states that..
1) We don't need guns because the police will protect us in every situation.  Even when they are not there.
2) All police are highly trained and proficient with their weapons, much more so than any private gun owner.

I can see it now... Liberal news: "If the police, who are trained professionals, can accidentally shoot up innocent people, just imagine the damage the average person can do with guns."

"Be on the look out for a blue or black truck in the California area being driven by a brown or black person between 4'5" and 6'11"

Did they come out as menacing with all those newspapers?   They must have thrown more than 10 newspapers. Or had assault newspapers.  They shot the sh*t out of that truck.

shooter's truck was a 4 door nissan titan
blue or grey

i was really pissed at the newspaper truck shooting, and then i thought about it a bit
newspapers- early morning delivery
cops on high alert after one or 2 checkpoints shot up and officers killed/injured
it's like in iraq when someone unknowingly gets too close to a checkpoint and it sets off a response tat may not be appropriate to the threat level
chalk it up to the "fog of war"

Another article I saw stated it was a nissan titan

LAPD is at war?  With who...everyone who's not a cop?

Whatever happened to swearing an oath to uphold the law?  Even if it had been the dude they were looking for in that truck, it's still not legal to just start shooting.

PS  the police officers who opened fire could tell there were two people in the truck, and they were trying to kill both of them (shooting for the head).  Personally, I think the officers involved in that shooting should be in jail.

This.  The LAPD is operating in LA, not Iraq.
