LoL,I shot it today.its in a good spot, plus the shoulder straps on my pack are kinda thick. So far it handles the recoil better than my shoulder.

I am thinking of buying a Tactical Supergrade, but I hope someone out there will give me a good reason NOT to spend 5000.00 on a single pistol. Are these pistols really worth the price?

Aunity,

A Wilson Combat 1911 is a well-made pistol.  A Supergrade is a cut above everything and one of the best,
no matter who is talking about the best 1911s made.

I have a Wilson Combat 1911 45acp Supergrade  AND a Wilson Combat 1911 9mm Classic.
Both pistols are almost identical, except I put carry cuts and ball endmill cuts on the 45acp.
The workmanship, while excellent on both, you can still see the hand-fitting and the workmanship on the 45acp, befitting a pistol that is about $2200 above the 9mm.

It will take about 3 years if you order now, as I ordered mine in January 2013 and got it in December 2015, almost 3 years.

I ordered mine from George at migunslingers.com.  I got a real good price (about 10%off MSRP).  I have ordered  3 pistols and 2 rifles from him.

Make sure you custom-order all the options you want, as it is a Supergrade that you will never sell to anyone !

Take a look at my Wilson Supergrade Classic on page 62, #1235 on: November 26, 2015, in this section for the specs on mine.

I've been waiting for the release of the micro red dot with the ACSS reticle.

How do you like the ACSS reticle in your scope, stang?

I really like it.
there's different versions of the ACSS reticle.
all have easy target acquisition, BDC, distance estimation, wind, target lead, etc.
I also have the 3x and 5x prism scopes with acss reticles on 2 other AR's, which function sort of like a red dot with some magnification. those are really nice.
they're all very functional.  I would really recommend the Primary Arms acss line of optics if you want a functional optic for an affordable price.

so why gas tube on a Mk12 Mod 22LR?
Awesome to see quality components. This is a chicken's worst nightmare! Or rats if you could put a suppressor on it.

Same reason for running the kac gas block, purely for looks and to trick people (you don't count ren cause you have a conversion). All said and done, it was worth the $5k price tag
