What a guy.  Surrounding himself with mothers of victims of gun violence.  The gun package is hitting the senate floor in april, so this is a push to keep gun politics fresh in peoples minds.

Now, now.

Several 2A members have publicly admitted voting for the turd, do not besmirch their choice of the messiah.  He could not possibly be against the 2nd Amendment, so they proclaimed!

Momentum or not, the agenda will never change......

He'll keep chipping away, as long as he gets as much stupid people to believe his lies......

As long as smart people understand that he is a DICTATOR, its easy to understand everthing he's doing.....

A lot of people don't realize that he's doing the same thing Hitler did, but with swag......with the gansta lean......

"OMG I love this president cause he lets us fulfill our sinful pleasures.....he understands me and my stupid ways" ;D

There is some truth to the saying, if guns are banned there will be less gun violence.

We need them to realize that's not the way it goes though, and having armed civilians is just as effective.

He's a dictator?

Wow. Does congress know? I mean, they've been following his Dictates to the letter, right? They've just been bending over backwards to make sure His Dictatorness's demands are fully implemented.

Please. The Republic is still (barely) working. Its not pretty, no one is getting all - or even much - of what they want but it IS still working. And the cracks in the mortar have been growing for a long time and aren't coming the actions of either party alone.

There is probably enough opposition to the worst of the gun control push that it won't pass. Probably. The fact that none of us are happy with the government overall means that incumbents seeking to hold on to their seats are unlikely to take enormous risks. For moderates and swing state reps and senators that probably means a No vote to the worst of the gun control push. The pro-gun backlash is FAR more powerful than any potential anti-gun backlash. As seen with the first AWB. Doesn't make sense to do that again.

Meanwhile, a bunch of the usual suspects get to rant and rave about gun control, whip up a frenzy about how active they are (like Bloomberg) and make a good show of it for their constituents. Hopefully, though, there won't actually be enough support for it on the floor when it comes down to a vote. I won't be surprised if ~something~ gets passed but it is likely to be watered down enough that it won't threaten the reelection of the moderates.

Hopefully. You never know until it actually gets down to that vote. If we have another tragic shooting between now and then it could shift the landscape dramatically.

If there are less cars there will be less car wrecks as well.

I know, but why blame a tool?
That is what the gun grabbers are doing. Blaming a tool. Not the drunk driver who hit the bus stop full of kids.

Its true and provides the results they want.  Its not like their lying.  In their heads it makes sense.  Probably more so then allowing people to carry firearms, which they think is "crazy" like how we picture bans as "crazy".

I have a feeling that something is going to get passed. In my view, the background checks and high cap mags have the best chance. Then O can put his stamp of approval on congress and say he did something. For me, I'm not as passionate about those issues since we deal with that already. So it's hard to understand the feelings of those who live in states where firearms aren't so restricted. But I do understand the argument against them and support those who stand against those proposals.

I do believe that the DHS will continue to put a strangle hold on the supply of ammunition as well. Due to the obligations of the ammunition manufacturers giving priority to their contracts they have pretty much successfully priced me out of the market. So it's obviously working pretty well to suppress the personal stocks of the average middle class citizen who, like me, don't have the resources or space to reload and utilize factory ammo as their only source of ammunition.

He's a dictator?

Yeah, I meant that as long as we understand that his intensions are bad, we'll understand his agenda...
