I use clear glasses when I shoot. Clear lets the maximum amount of light thru, meaning that my pupils contract to minimum size, thus maximizing depth of field, which gives a superior sight picture.
I tried yellow lenses for a while to get the increased contrast, but even a mild yellow cuts 1/2 stop of light in overall brightness. I tried the pink ones for trap, to help separate the clay pigeons from the background, but they drop even more brightness. I felt that whatever increase in identification I was getting wasn't offsetting the reduction of DoF, and gave me an inferior sight picture.
