I think armed should include knives and other tools.
Don't know why the media doesn't recognize that.

What the hell?  More stabbings?  Guess we will still be sacrificed while the criminals rights are thoroughly protected.   Maybe if the guy gets caught he can attend some college courses with his muderous buddy at WCC..

Please stop posting these articles of stabbings and beatings.

People might start to believe that guns aren't the problem and that violent criminals will perpetrate violence regardless of whether or not they have guns.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I think it would be a good idea to print out every single incident and including it with your CCW permit application.

Let's keep these reports to local events. I've updated the title of the thread to help define it better. Thanks.

Woman shot on Molokai by ex.
http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20130328_Woman_witnessed_friends_shooting_death_on_Molokai.html?id=200519911

Several items that should point the Feds to the (obvious) conclusion that their measures won't do diddly & they are looking at things incorrectly;
Quote
The victim's friend, Nicole Aea, testified Wednesday at a preliminary hearing that Kahalewai was sitting on a porch when Lavoie returned and shot her outside a friend's apartment at the Kawela Barns complex. The Maui News reported. Aea said the shooting occurred after Kahalewai repeatedly told Lavoie to leave.
To me this seems to imply that the LEO's are only minutes away, but this did nothing to deter or prevent this woman being killed.

Quote
Wailuku District Judge Adrianne Heely ruled Wednesday that there was sufficient evidence to support the second-degree murder charge, as well as other charges including use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and being a felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition.
Felon still got a firearm despite Hawaii having some of the toughest laws in the country.

Quote
Police recovered the weapon, a Remington bolt-action 30-06 rifle with a scope, Mahoney said. The rifle was registered to a man who acquired it in 2011 and told Molokai police that he had transferred the rifle to Lavoie shortly afterward.
Straw purchase, but we all know criminals will get firearms no matter what.
