Again, Hawaii's ridiculous legislature has embarrassed this state in front of the whole nation.

Well, between the ridiculous gun laws and drafting a formal resolution demanding an apology from Rush Limbaugh, instead of trying to get our house in order, yeah, we are pretty much the laughing stock...  The voters and the local government just don't seem to get it....

Does anyone know how else to see this program without access to Oceanic cable ?  I'm out of the country at the moment and am unable to pull it up on the Hawaii PBS site either..  Listening to everyone else I will say "Great Job HiCarry" !!        Thank you for fighting for our rights, it's much appreciated !!!

                   I live in Kailua-Kona as a full time resident. I am just letting you know that I am against this bill, as I believe it does absolutely nothing for our safety.  It makes no sense to exclude this particular weapon, nor does it make any sense to force people to provide proof of having a weapon registered for the ammunition they are purchasing..  Does the gas station ask for your driver’s license before you put gas in your car ? Does the bartender make you pass a sobriety test before you leave the bar to drive away ? We had 28 people die in vehicle crashes on our island in 2010, 16 were DUI related. We had 2 Murders in 2008 involving firearms. When looking at these facts, where should we be focusing our time and energy ? This is nothing more than another attempt at chipping away our rights just because someone is afraid of guns or thinks they are evil.. It’s not the guns that hurt people, it’s the people that use them wrong or illegally, just the same as it’s not the car’s fault, but the drunk or unlicensed driver who is operating it.. It boils down to education and personal responsibility.. Let’s use our resources to educate instead of intimidate or take away rights.. As for crime, it will always be here, and no matter how hard you make it for us law abiding citizens to get a gun or ammo,  the people who commit the crimes will be the least affected, if at all, as they rarely use legal means to commit illegal acts.

Try posting info of who you guys send letters to, we will follow up with letters from Hawaii CCW and the HDF.

I didn't want to single anyone out, so I sent my love letter to the Prez as well as all reps for Hawaii... 

I don't know why people thought he would touch gun control.  That shit is a losing battle.  The retard in AZ killed tons of people, and hit one of their own, nothing has come, nor do I expect it to come, of it at all.   Gun owners toss LOTS of money at this stuff.  The NRA wins elections, and costs people their careers.  President Clinton even stated this fact himself.   

I will be a lunch out -- we only see pro gun measures come out of the Federal Senate and House for the next two-years.  Obama has essentially denounced gun control; that subject was even taken off of their campaign missions.

I would have to disagree with gun control being denounced or that no new anti-gun legislation will take place.. I would say not only will it get worse, but as we have already witnessed firsthand, they are now going after Ammo in an attempt to disrupt or dissuade gun ownership/usage.. I predict new taxes on firearms, ammo, supplies, etc, as a new tactic as well..  Guns are something that I believe ignorant people will try to demonize and do away with for the rest of time.. It's a huge topic and one that I believe future generations will be dealing with for a long time to come..
