I ride sportbikes as well. Sometimes with a bunch of other riders. We don't ride like we own the highway/street and expect everyone to give way just because we are present. I honestly can't stand how some drivers don't respect other drivers or riders. But from watching the vid, and seeing a few vids of those hardcore stunters in the New York area, I would have to side with the Land Rover driver. From what I see, it looks as though the wannabe biker boyz got pissed the Land Rover driver did not pull to the side and give way. Then came the guy with the brake check move. At a complete stop, a dozen or so guys walking toward my vehicle with my wife and child in the car, I doubt they want to just talk about it. If I was the Land Rover driver I would have done the samething or worse, take out more riders. Although, I would have done things a bit differently. First, I would have kept it on the freeway/interstate while talking to 911. Second, if I had to get off the interstate I would go directly to a police station if possible. Third, I have no problem brake checking a few of thos bikers. Lastly, I have no problem slamming it into reverse to avoid being stuck behind another car at a red light.
I also seen on facebook a sympathy and donation page for the speedbump. That page is funny as hell. I seen someone post a pic of a landrover all wheel drive setting selector, one of the modes has a side pic of a sportbike. I had to post my comment about donating a few books, one being a dictionary; if he wants sympathy he could look between shit and syphilis...
Call me a dickhead for thinking like that but for me it is common sense, it does not matter to me. From seeing that vid, it seems as though these bikers expect everyone to give way. But this guy didn't. You can't slap a pittubll everytime and expect it to bow down. Sooner or later they(the animal or person) will eventually say/think "DUCK FAT!!!" and attack. Don't believe me? Steve Irwin, not sure which one but the tiger guys in Las Vegas, Siegfried and Roy, gator wrestlers, poisonous snake handlers, etc... will agree with my statement. But not Steve, as his life card got taxed by a sting ray I believe.
My dad has a saying, "Pain(growing up I figured out, pain was either physical, mental or financial) is the best teacher in life.". So with that said, I doubt this guy will never brake check anyone ever again, if he ever walks again.
