Me three but there are two handguns I want to buy. A Govenor and a Glock 42 for the wife.
Go for the G43.
Ammo more available and cheaper
 + 9mm vs .380  is a no brainer

Hey all,

You hopefully have figured it out.
If you have a registered gun, they are going to hunt
you down and kill you.  Thankfully Hawaii is so
backward that it will take years.  Go to the Mexican
Cartels next time you want a new gun.
Quicker, better, cheaper, and faster than dealing with
local Democrat cops and begging them for your constitutional
rights.
I know we are all law abiding guys here and I would never
advocate violating the law, or insult Democrats.

I have a friend who now lives (legally) in the US.  Her maiden name was Beltran.  Born and raised in Sinaloa, Mexico.  Well known last name.
Happily living in Puna

So nothing at all on this?  No funding meant they cannot enforce it?

I've tried a few times to read through n understand the rap back stuff but i always quit cause I don't understand it. Haven't purchased any firearms since it went into effect because seems most posters here agree its bad. My friend says that he doesn't have to worry because he maintains a security clearance to work on base and its basically the same thing. I have also heard if you submit to tsa pre-check its practically the same thing. can someone smart tell me if these things are true?

Except that rapeback puts us on the same watch list as teachers and civil servants so HPD could know about all of the atrocities we commit. I'm not okay with that.

We're avoiding it more on principal than anything heinous.
( although the principal we stand on is against rapeback's heinousness, so.....)

Only State in the Country that submits it's gun owners to a criminal watch list.
Don't even need a conviction to be reported back a criminal. (As I understand it.)
Not even our politicians are subject to this.

Maybe I need to find out more about TSA pre-check. Does that place us in the FBI database for continuous monitoring ?

That's why I think the rapeback is completely unconstitutional. The right to bear arms protects us from tyrants disarming a group like the Catholic King James II tried to with the Protestants. Although the British don't have a Constitution, ours is very specific. If Trump was to somehow ride into Honolulu on a gallant horse and slay the evil rapeback system, I promise I'll never say a bad thing about him again but I'm not holding my breath.

How about this?

Let's say that they find funding to include everyone who is a registered owner.  I will be moving away within the next 12 months.  Since there is no way for me to unregister and I no longer have any ties to this state.  Then how can they justify putting me in a Federal DB when I no longer live or possess guns in this wretched state?

Technically you will still be in the system. If you get picked up for a felony, then they'll notify Hawaii but they're no longer gonna care because you no longer live in the State (unless you move back someday). If the current State you live in decides to participate in the program, then I guess they'll be notified also.

That's the thing.  Hawaii has no jurisdiction over me.  Not a state resident or any other ties will be severed within 30 days of leaving this place.  They have no right over me or my firearms.

You waived all those rights when you agreed to pay $$ to be put into the RAPBACK reporting system.

Sucks, huh?

You mean how can the justify it ("public safety"), or how can they expect anyone to believe their justification ("public safety") when there is no evidence to support that justification (and they know it)?

Also, please note that you are not put in the RapBack database because you possess firearms. You are put into the RapBack database because you have applied for a "permit" to acquire a firearm. If the transfer does not take place for whatever reason, and you never seek to acquire another firearm, you are still in the database for life... just for asking permission from the government to exercise a fundamental, individual, enumerated, natural, unalienable constitutionally-protected civil right. You are considered "a danger" that must be closely monitored because you sought (whether you actually did or not) to acquire  a firearm. That's how things "work" around here. And all those people (legislators, cops, prosecutors, judges, AG, governor, etc.) claim that not only they do not violate their oath of office to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Hawaii", but that they "support the Second Amendment, but...".

I have not been put into rapback yet.  Eventually this state is going to want to put everyone in who has a weapon registered.

Oh I agree, Im thinking they are going to wait a couple of years and then do a CA type Ammo permit and force every one in, IF we cant find a way to beat it.
