Ok, so in the news today is a perfect example of how the governments is messing shit up trying to make things fair,
Cheese prices were high, so manufactures started making more cheese to cash in on the boom, The american economy is doing ok right now compared to other country's so the expected buyers cant buy the cheese. So in steps the government to take our tax money and buy the god dam cheese. $20 million worth, they will then give this cheese to foodbanks.
So you have multiple things wrong here.
1 : The cheese makers got greedy, they seen an opportunity to make extra money and flooded the market.
2 : The dollar is strong compared to global markets because the government is propping it up with artificially high interest rates (we should be in negative interest rates) and quantitative easing (printing money)
3 : The international market has also seen the boon in cheese prices and as such has increased production at a lower cost, (Less regulations, taxs and wages)
4 : The government has bought the cheese even tho the country is running on a deficit (this money is fictitious its not generated by taxs its just made up out of thin air)
5 :
This will do NOTHING to help the cheese company's as its only 1% of the surpluss built up by greedy companys. That means that their is still around one billion nine hundred eighty million dollars worth of cheese.
Lets be clear, As a tax payer. i dont want the government buying no god dam cheese to prop up a private company.
