don't go on the bench next to me, I got the tank brake on there 

I've shot next to one of the range regulars when he was shooting his Savage .338 Lapua with the "tank brake".  The side blast blew over my spotting scope.    

He would typically shoot like 3-5 and take a break, so I just waited until those breaks to shoot.   

I'm wait-listed for a match on Saturday.  Bunch of people must have been itching to shoot since it filled up super fast. 

I will be at the range Friday afternoon and depending what time I get off of work, I will try to hit the pistol range for some practice.

is this the same guy that also shoots a 1911 on rifle side?  (Taurus 1911?)
if so, I shot next to him last week.  that 338 is loud!

Not sure.  I don't recall seeing him on the pistol side.  He's a bigger Hawaiian/local guy.  I think he works (or worked) at Pearl Harbor.  Can't think of his name right now.  When I was going to the rifle range pretty much every other Friday, it would be him on the first bench to the right of the office and me on the second bench.  We'd both be there early and talk story along with this guy that drives a green Jeep.  Super cool guys.

Shooting a match this weekend and maybe a training session.  Potential for lots of shooting this weekend  Gotta get more ammo since I've been shooting so often lately.

I have a handgun class this weekend.  Looking forward to some solid training, and even more to seeing familiar faces.  As well as new faces coming out for firearms training.  That always makes me    Was trying to get two of my buddies to go to the class with me.  I even offered to pay for the class for one, but they have stuff with their kids.   

State Championships coming up in a couple of weeks, so I bet there will be a lot of folks out practicing, testing, etc.  Good luck to them!    

I plan to go pistol side. My friend got a new Sig with Romeo red dot. I'm looking forward to shooting it.
