Logically, people willing to spend the time and energy needed to attend massive rallies, wave roadside flags, and go to other pro-Trump events will be more likely to vote.

This is one reason the Dems are pushing mail-in voting.  They know Biden has no real enthusiasm.  He's maybe a smidge better in that area than Hildebeast was in 2016, but unless that is spread around enough close states to give him the win, it counts for little.  Mail-in votes give the Dems the means to harvest ballots and make voting easier in areas where voters are less interested in going to the polls.

Clinton won the mythical popular vote.  Didn't mean crap.  If Trump gets the support he needs in the places he's campaigning, Biden doesn't have a chance.

Maybe we can get both Biden and Hildebeast participation trophies if he also loses the electoral and "wins" the popular?

Or maybe just maybe not everything is a conspiracy and Mail in voting or even online voting is the future.   Even if you think its safer than the flu covid its not best to go in public.   So a method of voting not requiring you to stand in line for hours is advantageous. Maybe it's a good thing overall because it makes voting easier.   Voting is an American right don't be scared.   Hawaii has been doing mail in ballots for a long time,  no massive fraud or anything bad.  I only vote by mail.   But then again I'm a millennial.  It almost sounds like flapp is supporting voter suppression like abortion to make it hard for people to do something.  Can't make things you don't like so difficult people don't do it that's not the proper way.   That's what they are doing to our gun rights with this appointment system in Hawaii.

You don't send out ballots based on voter rolls that have gone decades without being audited.

You don't change the rules a couple of months before a major election.

You don't understand that mail-in voting is full of security holes, and then decide to expand it.

You don't, unless you believe those things work in your favor.

There is still other verification checks after...

You don't change the rules a couple of months before a major election.

Yeah lets ignore the pandemic.....

You don't understand that mail-in voting is full of security holes, and then decide to expand it.

So are booths...There are other verifications for mail in ballots.  We have been doing it for YEARS.  Here and across the nation.  Where's all the fraud?  You do know republicans can exploit everything the democrats can

You don't, unless you believe those things work in your favor.

Pot calling the kettle black.  You don't not believe the things and force voting booths if you think it will help in your favor

Not a smidge of fraud.....

Judge Orders Election Redo After NJ Democrats Charged with Voter Fraud

Quote
A judge ordered a do-over election held in November for a city council seat in Paterson,
New Jersey, due to the apparent winner and a sitting councilman being charged with voter fraud.

State Superior Court Judge Ernest Caposela issued the ruling on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press (AP).

“It was the right ruling. That past election was fraught with fraud,” Mayor Andre Sayegh remarked, according to CNN.

“The City will comply with the judge’s decision and we created the Mayor’s Election Awareness Team to preserve the value of the vote in Paterson,” he noted.

Judge Orders New Election After Rampant Alleged Mail-In Voting Fraud

Quote
An investigation into the election results was initiated after the New Jersey attorney general’s
office was informed by U.S. Postal Service investigators that hundreds of mail-in ballots were
located in a mailbox in Paterson, and even more were discovered in the nearby borough of Haledon.

All elections, including Presidential year elections, are run by the individual STATES.  NJ is just one of several examples of fraud,  There have also been proven instances of mishandling, losing, dumping and late delivery of ballots.

“ President Trump cast a vote-by-mail ballot in Florida this week after months of questioning the security of the method of voting, and in doing so he returned it to election officials using a technique many Republicans say should be illegal.

The way Trump voted shows how he's had to walk a fine line, and often tweak his language around voting, to adjust for political realities and his own behavior.

Trump submitted the Florida primary ballot by giving it to a third party to return, a spokesperson for the Palm Beach elections supervisor confirmed to NPR on Wednesday. Republicans often derisively refer to sending in a ballot this way as "ballot harvesting," and it's something Trump has criticized.

"GET RID OF BALLOT HARVESTING, IT IS RAMPANT WITH FRAUD," he tweeted in April.”

True, or not true ?

Personally I don’t believe in mail in balloting unless one is out of the country or their district.
But is it true.
Reportedly Trump generally mail in votes and did again.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS are NOT the same as "MASS BALLOT MAILING."

Absentee: Among other differences, the voter REQUESTS the ballot AT HIS/HER ADDRESS for the upcoming election.  Some states require a reason (military, on travel during election day, etc.).  Some, like Hawaii, allow anyone to request "mail -in" ballots.

The new "Mail-in" election plan is to mass mail out millions of ballots to everyone -- whether or not they wanted one, are dead, no longer resides at that address, have moved to another state, etc.  This system is a problem for many reasons.

Ex-Nevada AG describes ballots 'piled up in apartments and
trash cans and in hallways' due to mail-in voting

Quote
Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt echoed President Trump's concerns about
mail-in voting Tuesday, telling "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that it will likely increase the risk of
voter fraud in his state.

"This is the game," said Laxalt, outside counsel for the nonprofit Americans for Public Trust.
"It's about winning elections and gaining power and here in my swing state ... you are seeing
videos of thousands of ballots that are piled up in apartments and trash cans and in hallways.
And this is all because we are doing our first mail-in ballot election in the history of our state
all under the cloak of the pandemic."

https://www.foxnews.com/media/nevada-adam-laxalt-mail-in-voting-election-fraud

Pennsylvania, a very important "swing state", just passed a rule that NO BALLOTS WILL BE REJECTED simply because the signature on the envelope doesn't match the signature on the registration card.

So much for "other methods of checking".

This happened in NYC -- in the Democrat's OWN PRIMARY!   :wtf:

Over 80,000 mail-in ballots disqualified in NYC primary mess

Quote
The mail-in ballots of more than 84,000 New York City Democrats who sought to vote in
the presidential primary were disqualified, according to new figures released by the Board
of Elections.

The city BOE received 403,103 mail-in ballots for the June 23 Democratic presidential
primary.

But the certified results released Wednesday revealed that only 318,995 mail-in ballots
were counted.

That means 84,108 ballots were not counted or invalidated — 21 percent of the total.

One out of four mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or
failing to include a voter’s signature, or other defects. The Post reported Tuesday that
roughly 30,000 mail-in ballots were invalidated in Brooklyn alone.

The high invalidation rate provides more proof that election officials and the Postal Service
were woefully underprepared to handle and process the avalanche of mail-in ballots that
voters were encouraged to fill out to avoid having to go to the polls during the coronavirus
pandemic, critics said.

No evidence of problems with Mail-in ballots.

Voting problems in Georgia, other primary states raise
concerns about November chaos: 'Red flashing siren'

Quote
Georgia and Nevada aren’t isolated cases. Primaries in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Maryland,
and the District of Columbia were also plagued with similar problems.

With states strapped for cash and the massive movement toward voting by mail – both results
of the pandemic shuttering much of the nation – some experts see the primary problems as a
warning sign for things to come in November’s general election, when the presidency, control
of Congress and some governorships and more are up for grabs.

Any sign of widespread election night problems would be sure to fuel criticism by both parties,
and could be used to challenge the outcome.

“I think it’s a big red flashing siren that states and Congress need to take the November election
really seriously if they’re going to prevent what happened in Georgia and Nevada and elsewhere
from happening,” elections expert Michael Li told Fox News.

Democrat voters  are PANICKING now, because the mail-in ballots they believed were secure are already being found in places they should not be.

Election Concerns Grow In Bergen County, N.J. After Dozens Of
Mail-In Ballots Found Discarded In Dumpster

Quote
BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — The U.S. Postal Service inspector general is investigating
after blank election ballots were found among hundreds of pieces of mail in a New Jersey dumpster.

And that’s not the only thing causing concern.

“To have that all go in the trash like that was, in my mind, really ridiculous,” Howard Dinger told CBS2’s
Ali Bauman on Tuesday night.

Dinger said he was throwing some trash out in a North Arlington dumpster on Friday afternoon when
under the lid he found piles of unopened mail, including dozens of blank mail-in ballots.
...
This isn’t the only concern in Bergen County.

Nearly 7,000 Teaneck voters received mail-in ballots Monday with the wrong Congressional candidate.
The county clerk said it was due to a computer mis-programming and they will be getting new ballots.

Personally I don’t believe in mail in balloting unless one is out of the country or their district.

Why do you "believe" that?  To avoid voter fraud by checking ID?

Not trying to be argumentative, but I haven't seen anyone "believe" that before.  I can see a number of reasons for mail-in, absentee, etc ballots.  One that came to mind personally for me is family member who is unable, or very restricted, in mobility to vote in person.

Personally, I had no problems voting in person.  Even despite my hatred for lines and crowds, but that's a different story.

Pros and cons to both,  but to say mail in voting is only bad is stupid.  Hawaii and other states are doing fine.  I never vote in person.  So much easier by mail.

Do I need to start googling for cases of fraud for ballot voting?  Or russians hacking the machines?  Two can play at that game flapp.

Did I say mail-in voting was only bad?

There are those who think the 3rd Reich had many very positive outcomes.  I never see anyone discussing them.  Maybe because, until the negatives are addressed, it's STUPID (your word) to even suggest that there are reasons to implement such a system.

It's a FACT the the original process of only voting on election day is inconvenient and often includes some level of fraud or failures.  But those are not significant, as the Democrats use that fact to push against Voter ID.

Hawaii has its own problems with election system problems.  But, since the presidential election is moot (the only electoral vote Trump got from the HI electors was cast in opposition to the election outcome), it's more of an issue with local races.  The Big Island is a perfect case of the elections being run poorly year after year.

The Post Office, state elections offices and the people tasked with producing and mailing out the ballots were being asked to gear up DURING A PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN in just a few months.

What could possible go wrong?

"Trust us", they always say when queried about the ballot reader.

At the very least, you know your ballot was tallied (better than even chance if the reader was actually working), and if any problems happen, you know the paper ballot is IN THE HANDS OF THE OFFICIALS.

With mail-in ballots, you're relying on the post office to:

1.  collect
2.  postmark
3.  sort
4.  deliver
5.  not alter, destroy or lose

your ballot.

When you add HARVESTING to the mix, now you have unofficial, political activist, sometimes unscrupulous people doing the job of the post office.

You really can't compare the problems of walk-in voting to the potential problems of mail-in.

The #1 problem:  walk-in voting includes poll watchers and workers making sure the process is followed and is not circumvented.  Mail-in is based on "the honor system" before the ballot ever makes it to the elections offices.  Even after the ballot arrives, there is no guarantee the ballots will be counted.  I can remember at least 3 instances where mail-in ballots were incorrectly lost or tossed.

Identity theft crimes have grown faster in the last 10-15 years than any other crime in the WORLD.

All the phishing emails, malicious webpages, spoof sites/pages, and phone scams use the latest tech to take people's property.

As an example, let's say you get an email from GMail or Hotmail saying your account has been accessed, and you need to change your password to ensure your email is secure.  So, you click the link, log in, and change your password.  Good for you!

Only the link you clicked to go change your password was bogus.  You just went to a fake site and gave them your passwords.

Why is your email password a big deal?  Email is the number one way companies verify your identity.

The crook now clicks "I Forgot My Password" on your banking site.  The site sends a link to your email address to do a reset.  The crook logs into your email, clicks the link, then changes your password.  Your account balances are ZERO after they transfer the funds to another account (PayPal, maybe?).

That's just one type of attack.  What happens when your email address is compromised, and the password thief uses your credentials to vote on your behalf?

Good luck trying to cancel that electronic ballot after the election results are certified.

Same way we lock down many services....theres a mixture of security measures that keep accounts safe.  Its why your bank account, unemployment etc isnt hacked daily.  The best way is 2 factor authentication or greater security where you ensure a level of security I would argue is greater than our methods of voting currently. Ideally we would bio secure the elections, no amount of hacking will crack that.  Its beyond secure.
